We want to do it again.

It was a rainy, rainy day, but this did not dampen our experience. We really had a great time visiting so many different places in a short amount of time. Our tour guide was very enjoyable to be with and provided a lot of good information we would not otherwise know. I was surprised how much we came away with through the experience. We have lived in the area our whole lives and we are not strangers to the area of the tour. Yet, we learned so much. We will definitely be visiting these places in the future. We will also be going on the tour again. It would be nice to see the tour expand to other areas and restaurants, as well.

Milwaukee Gourmet Walking Tour

We had a GREAT time. Terry, was our guide and she was informative and did not rush us at any stop. There was only our group of 4. It was fun to hear about the area and how they rebuilt the area. The places were cute to hear about and it gave us some interesting places to go to the next time we are in Milwaukee.

Loved those Cerignola Olives marinated with lemon.

The walking pace was just right, with Theresa sharing historical tidbits along the way. I went back to Glorioso's Market the next day to buy bread, marinated mozzarella, olives and prosciutto for a cocktail party. Super tasty. An interesting tour, with multiple stops for various tastings, for a very fair price. Highly recommended.

Faster pace and 1 or 2 more "foodie" stops

Very interesting and really enjoyed it - would recommend a faster pace and perhaps one or two more "foodie" stops.

Thanks for an educational, great time. I learned a lot about the area and about the good food around. I enjoyed myself and have told others about the experience. It was a wonderful time.

This was our first-ever food tour and it was great. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and Theresa was a wonderful tour guide. She had all of the stops planned and each had its own local flavor. The food and drink at each stop was ready when we got there and several of the places were stops we never would have made otherwise. Boy, have we been missing out. We went back the next day and visited over half of the stops and stuck up a friendship with at least one of the shop owners. We told each of them what a gold mine they had in Theresa. Not only will we be back on the Milwaukee food tour, we will now make it a point to visit with other city's food tours on our travels. Bruce & Beckie

What a fun way to see the city!

My husband and I just loved this tour. It was a different way to see the city. We enjoyed the walking, as we felt we experienced the communities we toured and the food was a fun way to learn about the areas. The tour had a good mixture of food, both Italian and German, and the establishments that we went into were fun to see and experience. After the tour, we went back to the Italian area and stocked up. I hadn't experienced Italian markets and bakeries like these since I left the northeast 30 years ago. Also, our tour guide was great! This was her home town and she was very genuine in her love of the city and very relaxed in how she spoke. She provided plenty of information on the history of the area and how it had changed over the years. This was definitely not your typical city tour. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a taste of the city and doesn't mind a little walking that lets you feel like part of the neighborhoods. A++

Spend fun time with friends and LEARN new things!

Lovely tour with "new " friends from Chicago! Lots to sample, interesting new things to learn about Milwaukee (even though I grew up in Cudahy)... Our guide was just great! I think she is just perfect for the eat/walk. She took time to talk to each of us and that made things even more personal. It helps that this is her own "BRAIN CHILD" and her enthusiastic tour was a joy! She is a true attribute to Milwaukee.

Everything and everywhere was good EXCEPT Maders. As I told my friends they served us "irish eggrolls"!!!! Greasy too. If they just cut up a schnitzel, with a spoonfull of red cabbage and a spaetzle it would have been great. I can't believe it would cost very much, or be too labor intensive. Serving a rueben in an eggroll was verboten!!!

Pleasant combination of touring and food

This tour was a very enjoyable way for us to spend 2 1/2 hours on a Friday. Our tour guide, Terri, was very knowledgeable about the local food scene, as well as local history and architecture. We dine often in Milwaukee and have been to all of those restaurants before, but this was a different way to experience them. The visits to the food stores was a nice touch. I would strongly recommend this tour for locals to learn more about our Milwaukee culture and to experience the food scene in a different way. I hope you will expand these tours to other sections of the city - 3rd Ward, Walker's Point, Riverwalk...
