A great activity with out of town company

We had some friends from out of town and I happened to see an add for the food tour. We all went on the Bloody Mary Brunch tour. OUr guides were very friendly and made us all feel like we were family. Great food, great eat, great bloody mary's. I have lived here all my life and I learned things about the city I never knew. We highly recommend this company. As a matter of fact, we have 2 more sets of out of town company coming and we are going to book more tours! AND I don't hve to spend alot of time cooking for everyone, we were all full for the rest of the day.

Great excursion to do!

Brady Street Food tour was one of the highlights of Milwaukee. Brady Street in itself is upbeat and full of life then add all the food you sample. We got to indulge in cracker style pizza (my personal favorite), tacos, salami, olives, canoli's, shepards pie and end with beer! A great treat. The tour guide was a local and very friendly.

We really enjoyed the tour. We really liked hearing about the history of the area and not just the food.

This tour is a must do for anyone who loves the history of Brady Street, the history of Italians in the area, and great food. We had a great time and our tour guide was personable and fun. I would recommend this tour in a heartbeat!

I enjoyed the 3rd Ward Food Tour. The restaurants visited served good food. The tour was very accomodating to vegeterians. During the tour, the tour guide discussed some of the history of the city of Milwaukee which made it more interesting. Overall it was great experience. I would like to take another food tour the next time I am in the area. In the future, I would like to have choices of what I want to eat as opposed to the food already pre-selected.

It was a wonderful and great experience. We live in Racine and have told our friends and family about it. Highly recommend doing this or another. Our guide was good too. He knew so much about the area. Price was good too.

As I was trying to share above: an all together LOVELY way to spend time with all ages. Took the tour last year and had a Fabulous experience with a longer tour of the "East Side" ending at Mader's. LOVED IT! I realize it was maybe too long for some and enjoyed the new tour. I ended up taking our out of town friens to the cheese place and also for sausage at Usingers so your tour has been benificial to all! All of the people that took care of us were so nice! The woman (very pretty blond gal) at the Lakefront Brewerey was especially kind to our group! Thanks again to our tour guide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps it was the company, but it was also definately the food, drink and amazing organization. Excellent experience for locals or visitors. Can't wait to do another one!

Good enough, but not worth the money

Our tour guides were very friendly. The details they gave were fun and informative. If you are looking for a tour with extremely interesting history, this would not be the one. We found the historical aspect of the tour ho-hum, and it sometimes felt like a plug for the restaurants. The food at the first stop, a chicken roll, was delicious, so we were excited to start things off. We were made to stand and eat out on the deck, rather than being given a place to sit down, so that was a bit disappointing. The stop for pizza was disappointing. It was billed as pizza just like is served in Italy. I have been in Italy, and although the flavors were the same, there were only random dollops of cheese, with several pieces not even having any cheese at all. That is not how they serve pizza in Italy, and it is not how it should be served here. We did get to sit in the restaurant at this stop. The beer was very good, but just a chaser, so disappointing. We again weren't given any seats, but crammed into the bar area. At the next food stop, each person got two very small dried out pieces of lamb, having to split a skewer. Some people got veggies, others didn't. Those that did, again only had two small pieces. We did get to enjoy the ambiance of this restaurant, which was unique and festive. What was supposed to be our final stop had a special event going on, so we were unable to stop, and given a piece of chocolate while standing on a street corner instead. So, the tour was okay, the food was okay, but not one of our party of 7 felt like it was worth the $40 price.

not a food tour

This should not have been promoted as a food tour. Minimal actual food provided but lots of tour guide trying to sell the restaurants. We had to go for dinner immediately afterwards. Overpriced.

Not Worth the Price

The tour of the Historic Third Ward was not worth the price of the ticket. Here are the reasons why: 1. We were told by the Milwaukee Food Tours that we would not need to eat dinner after this tour because of the amount of food we'd get to try. THIS IS NOT TRUE! We were given bites of food on the tour and ended up spending another $30 at a restaurant because we were STARVING after the tour. 2. We were also told we would get some tastings of beer and that we'd have time to order some alcoholic drinks. THIS IS NOT TRUE! We got a shot glass of beer at one place and we were rushed along from one restaurant to the next. There was absolutely no time to have a quick drink. 3. The restaurants we visited were not friendly at all. We were shocked by this. We were crammed into their smallest areas and quickly given their supposedly "best" dishes. We even had to share plates with other tour guests, which was awkward and silly. We could've bought a better experience at a restaurant downtown. 4. Our tour guide seemed somewhat amatuer and not energetic. Not Worth $40!

A little rushed but a great tour
Sat, May 1, 10   5:30 PM ninbug06 Female 30-39 Local Group of Friends
I participated in the tour w/ a brand new guide. She was very fun, enthusiastic and overall did a great job. The tour stopped a some really nice and diverse places in the Third Ward. I definitely had enough to eat by the end of the tour. My only suggestion is to let the group know when the tour will be departing from the current locale in advance. For example, say something like "Tour will be leaving here in 10 minutes," so people have time to finish their drinks. I felt a bit rushed because I wasn't concerned about the time and therefore didn't keep an eye on my watch. All in all, a very fun time and something different to do in Milwaukee. I recommend a tour with this group - and I plan to do some of the other tours they offer.
