Milwaukee Food Tours

I took my mom and sisters on the Third Ward tour while they were in town visiting and it was a lot of fun! The tour guides are full of knowledge, but not boring, and the restaurant options were varied. All the food was quite tasty and gave us the opportunity to try many places that we had yet to visit. I'll definitely be going again!

This tour is a must do for anyone who loves the history of Brady Street, the history of Italians in the area, and great food. We had a great time and our tour guide was personable and fun. I would recommend this tour in a heartbeat!

If you love good food and finding good restaurants and food shops, this is a great treat. We have lived in the Milwaukee area for twenty years and received the Brady Street tour as a gift from our kids. We had a wonderful tour guide and enjoyed learning the history of the area. While we have eaten at several restaurants in the Brady Street area, all but one of the restaurants and shops were new to us. We will definitely visit them again. The tours are a great gift idea, ideal for those visiting or new to the city, and fun for those who want to get out of the suburbs for a fun afternoon or evening.

The food tour was delicious and fun. Portions sizes were generous, the walk was beautiful along the river and the tour guides did a great job of sharing interesting tidbits of information and sparking conversation between groups in the tour. Great experience and we will try the other tours soon!

Having only lived in Milwaukee for a short time, it was really fun to hear about the history of the Brady Street area but the food tastings were definitely the highlight of the day.

Josh, our tour guide was personable and courteous. He was knowledgeable about the history and food of the area. All locations greeted us warmly and treated us to some of their specialties. We definitely didn't need lunch or dinner anytime soon there after. They gave us plenty to eat and all stops were great. My Bride and I would recommend without hesitation this tour. We plan on taking some of the other tours that are offered fairly soon. Looking forward to our next adventure.

It was a wonderful and great experience. We live in Racine and have told our friends and family about it. Highly recommend doing this or another. Our guide was good too. He knew so much about the area. Price was good too.

Our tour guide was excellent. He was well informed, articulate, easy-going, and fun. Loved the food and the architectural details provided. Will definately do it again.

The website specifies they will accept no more than 16 people in a group, so I was surprised that there were only four of us for our tour, not counting the guide. My 28 year old daughter and I took this tour in the middle of June, 2010. Catherine, our guide, did a good job to keep us on schedule, considering we had to be at certain restaurants and stores at a certain time. We had samples of food at each of our stops: some were just small servings; others were enough for a meal for a lunch. Catherine also included some architectural tidbits and history of the area and, as an amateur history buff, I wish there could have been more. Catherine was very good about asking individuals in our group about their occupations/hobbies and trying to keep us engaged in conversation when appropriate. In summary. I thought it was well worth the money. I tipped the guide $10 (for my daughter and me), but the other two women in our group did not. Having been on many types of tours, a tip is appreciated, especially if one has had a good experience.

I live in Milwaukee, and like to eat out at non-chain places. I definitely found some new places on the tour, with great food. The food was not only awesome but plentiful (and they give enough beer tickets also). I was stuffed afterwords. The history was fascinating and the guides were knowledgeable and personable. Milwaukee is an interesting place with a lot of history. Everyone I was with loved it. Worth the $45.

This is the first food tour I've gone on. There was plenty of food from a variety of ethnic groups. It was more than just a food tour though as we learned about the history of the Brady Street area as well. After participating in this one, I'm planning on going on one of the other neighborhood food tours.

Myself and my daughter and son-in-law found the tour to be very interesting and the food was wonderful. I bought the tickets as an anniversary gift for my daugher and it was a nice memory to celebrate the occasion together.
