Diggin the Pizza around town!
Sat, Feb 2  6:30 PM ajmitchell Female 40-49 Local Group of Friends
We went with a group of friends to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a blast! It was great getting to taste the different kinds of pizza. The final stop topped off the night! I would recommend for a great date night or birthday celebration!

Lots of fun!

Great tour of pizza places all around the area, along with local history facts and pizza information. The only disappointment was Crisp on Brady. The pizza was a mushy, undercooked mess and our group had to wait about 20 minutes for it. (It had a good flavor and probably would have been good if cooked fully.) The problems were not the tour's fault though, and our tour guide Steve was great, very friendly and entertaining. The gelato treat at the end of the tour was a nice ending. Would definitely recommend.

Good for out of towners

My husband and I enjoyed the amount of food we received. We also appreciated the tour guides highlights of Milwaukee history throughout the evening. As others have said, it would be nice to receive something other than water at each location. We were otherwise very satisfied. P.S. the gelato is an amazing end to the evening!

Not your ordinary date night
Sat, Feb 2  6:00 PM GJSchwartz Female 50-59 Local Couple on a Date
I took my husband on the pizza tour for his birthday. We were unsure how much fun we would have being with a group of strangers. Fears were unfounded. Everyone was friendly and we all critiqued the pizzas and places as friends would. This was a nice change of pace for a date night in the dead of winter. Give it a try and bring your appetite.

We really enjoyed this tour - a great combination of delicious food, a lovely varitety of restaurant spaces, interesting narration from the enthusiastic tour guide, some history, a nice walk, the river, the many faces of the Third Ward, a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Milwaukee.

Nothing special or unique.

We all felt rushed on this tour. Also, our tour guide seemed to be very rigid in his dialog -- appeared upset when other people would ask questions/make comments. I also felt the variety of pizza could have been better. Or maybe add something different in the mix (restaurant kitchen tour/brick oven/etc.).

Good Pizza and fun

A unique dining experience. We had a group of 13, and everyone enjoyed the food and friendship. Although we knew most of the history of Milwaukee, there was new information we learned, especially about pizza. We at first thought it was a bit pricey, but we would do it again.

Guide was great, fact-filled, entertaining and effective. Stops were interesting, samples generous, buying options hard to resist. Bus ride fine. Would have enjoyed more Milwaukee fun-facts and curiosities. Tour length just right.

Church & Chocolate Tour

Thought the church tours were excellent. Found the Red Elephant chocolate to be very good, but pricey. Loved the Indulgence Chocolate shop, prices were fair, chocolate was excellent, but seems to be quite a ways out of the way from the rest of the tour.

I think my wife and I were a little spoiled on out first food tour. We took the south Boston tour on a trip last year. It was outstanding. we walk through the city as the tour guide spouted a wealth of information on the city, the stores, and the food that they sold. The people working in the store were friendly and were happy to talk about their store and what they sold. It was a blast. My wife and I were thinking the bakery tour was going to be the same. It sort of seemed like it was where is this bakery, have a sample and stand and wait. No one really talked at all in the store, it seemed like it would have been a great time to talk about the history of the bakery and what sets then different. I did like what you did at national bakery when the owner came on the bus to take with use. The other places just seemed like were we are, try this, and buy stuff. I hope this helps.

The bakeries were very nice. We had fun visiting the different bakeries and eating all the free samples. Loved National bakery and La Torte had some great bakery.

What a great time we had!

I surprised my mom with the tour, for the two of us to spend a special day together. We had a wonderful time together and the tour was really great. We enjoyed the various bakeries and really stocked up. We even went back to the Simma Bakery afterwards to get some more cheesecake. Our tour guide, Sandy was really a fun guide and interacted so well with the people in our group. I would highly recommend this tour and we are thinking of taking another one when the weather is warmer for a walking tour. SO much fun!!

My wife and I went on the Churches and Chocolate tour and thought it was outstanding. The three churches we visited were welcoming, beautiful, and historic. (These churches were even more beautiful as they were decorated for the holidays). Our tour guide and the guides at each church provided a great deal of interesting, historical information. The chocolatiers were incredible as well and each provided generous samples of their delicious products. I have been speaking of to everyone I've seen over the past few days and recommending it enthusiastically! My wife and I will definitely come back to Milwaukee to experience the other tours offered by Milwaukee Food Tours.

It was so good because you got to try the food and buy it if you liked it. I'm 10 and I can't believe that I actually got full! My grandpa and I had a great time.
