A relaxing, informative, scrumptious tour.

Not knowing exactly what we signed up for, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Food Tour. Our guide was a perky gal who grew up in the neighborhood and knew a lot of the history and architecture. The food stops were well planned out, but the one establishment I would replace was Bucca De Peppo, only because it was a chain restaurant, while the others were locally owned. Our guide, Terri, was well prepared with umbrellas for the tourists who did not bring their own (we needed them sparingly on our tour) and the laminated pictures of what the structures looked like before they were destroyed or damaged added to the fascination of the area. We would definitely recommend the Milwaukee Food Tour and we will contact AAA (Triple A Travel Service) to check it out for future 'Must See/Do" section in the Milwaukee Tour Book.

We very much enjoyed our Milwaukee food tour. It was an interesting combination of history and food and we learned a lot about Milwaukee. It's a much nicer city these days than I recall it being in the past. Our guide was very nice and informative. There is a lot of walking--probably a little more than we thought, but it is broken up by places where you can sit. My husband has minor back issues so the breaks were welcome. We would definitely recommend it.

If you enjoy checking out new places and having a chance to taste a bit before you spend a whole bunch of money for dinner, here's your chance. This is lively paced tour and a fun way to catch the flavor of Milwaukee... we are from Madison and we often look for things do in Milwaukee... this tour was a highlight for us... but I've got to tell you that Theresa the tour operator was sooo delightful...it made the time just that more enjoyable...just do it and have a tasty time....

Our group originally did this in Seattle, so when we saw that there was food tour in Milwaukee, we thought we would give it a try. We were totally thrilled with the Milwaukee tour. I couldn't believe the amount of food we received and the great history of Milwaukee that we learned. Theresa was very knowledgeable and informative, willing to answer questions. Definitely worth the money.

A group of friends came from Green Bay, Wisconsin...so I suppose sort of local. We enjoyed our tour guide; she gave alot of information. I especially liked all of the history of the early settlers of Milwaukee and their neighborhoods...wouldn't it be fun to live a little more poorly but happy with not much but some food and clothing? They took care of each other and got along! Milwaukee is a pretty city; we don't usually see or hear that. All that we hear is the crime scene and how terrible that part is. Looks like people are living downtown and living happily. Thank you for the wonderful day. Oh...enjoyed the pizza as well as wine and bakery foods and the beer at the end of the tour! Thanks to all.

Taste of Old Milwaukee

We enjoyed learning about the history behind the restaurants and old Milwaukee,. Hearing the history of Brady street and vising the local restaurants brought back a simpler time. The food was unique as it was a sampling of German, and Italian ethic dishes that are not always foods that you would order at a restaurant. Teresa was enthusiastic and did a excellent job in her choice of samplings. Thanks again for the enjoyable day.

The group was all family --- who were in town for a wedding in Wales, WI. We wanted something different to do together that would still allow us to talk, eat, and catch up on family happenings. This outing met and exceeded our expectations and provided ample time to walk, talk , eat and learn about Milwaukee, it's history, and heritage. Thanks for a great start to a night on the town

Historical Third Ward Food Tour

This was a really fun tour, I learned things I never knew about Milwaukee, walked through a beautiful area of the city and ate food and some excellent restaurants, some of which I had never heard of and hope to go back to again. The tour guides were excellent and had a very well-planned tour, they were enthusiastic and made it really fun. The only thing I might change is the areas they talked to us in. Some of the time it was kind of hard to hear, but traffic and music levels in restaurants can be difficult to predict. Also, there were signs in the Third Ward marking historical events and places, maybe the tour could coincide with the plaques around the neighborhood? I would highly recommend this to any friends from in our out of town and hope to do the Brady Street tour as well.

My boyfriend and I decided to take this tour after we took the Brady Street tour last summer (2008). We absolutely loved it again. Instead of buying gifts for our anniversary we decided to do the tour and it was worth it. We both felt that you got more food during this tour compared to the Brady Street tour, but the Brady street tour had more interesting history. Overall I would recommend both of the tours! Great tour guide :)
