| The tour was fun and interesting. Lots of interesting trivia about Milwaukee and its neighborhoods. Good variety of tastes from local venders. Some of the food served was skimpy considering the cost of the tour. I would reconsider using the deli who only served olives, and the cheese shop and chocolate shop gave very small tastings. The pizza restaurant, German restaurant, and bakery were nice sized tastings for the money. The tour hosts should gear their venders and tastings more toward the restaurants examples. | ||||||

| Enjoyed both the food and the neighborhood. By walking through the area you had a feel for the neighborhood. Our guide was informative. I would recommend it to others. | ||||||

| My wife, daughter, and I took this tour in early October 2008 to celebrate our joint birthdays, which all fall within three weeks. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide was outstanding, the restaurant personnel were uniformly gracious, and the food samples were excellent and more than enough for lunch. Though we have each lived in the area for twenty years or more and know the Third Ward reasonably well, we learned a lot and will definitely return to two or three of these establishments. | ||||||

| My out of town niece raved about the tour to her mother who will visit later. I enjoyed the tour. I was disappointed in the food from Maders. Sandwich was not tasty. Other food was unique and inviting. By choice and medical reasons we do not drink alcohol. Other special drinks for us to enjoy or taste would be good. Sprechers? | ||||||

| The weather was lovely, the group very diverse but congenial. Theresa provided interesting history for the various businesses. ( I'm not sure Oprah went to high school in Milwaukee, though. Maybe that could be double-checked for us skeptics!) Also, it would be nice if the businesses selected were all open on Sunday to provide more than a peek through the window! The pace and variety was nice and Theresa kept everyone moving in a diplomatic way. | ||||||

Tour of Milwaukee from an outsider's perspective

| The food was uneven. Zafirro's was very good, as was cheese tasting on Old World Third Street. Usinger's was a waste of time. Our guide was relatively new to Milwaukee (10 years.) He read much of his presentation from a paper. This could have been much better with a better guide and a few better selected eateries. | ||||||

| There was definitely a mix of different styles of food and the tour guides made sure they mingled with the group. Each place offered a respectable amount of food. We were a little disappointed in the atmosphere and food at the Irish pub, and would have preferred an Irish beer/ale sample here. Save the Pabst/Schiltz comparison for a different eatery. All-in-all, very enjoyable. | ||||||

| Our delightful tour leader graced us with her knowledge by providing insights and anecdotes about the history, architecture, people, and customs of the area while we walked to the various food and drink stops on the tour. My wife and I, who were on vacation from the East Coast, had a fantastic time! Our two guests from the local area who accompanied us also found the tour to be well worth it – we all had a great time! Thank you! | ||||||

| We were a group of 4 seniors who had a good time, good snacking, and exercise at the same time. One couple lives in the northern suburbs of Milwaukee and were entertaining the other couple from NY. Although the NY couple had visited here before, Brady St. had not been on the agenda. The out-of-towners want to participate in the 2nd tour when they come back. The local couple became reacquainted with an area that they don't often frequent. We had a taste-off afterwards comparing Usinger's brats to Johnsonville's brat and Usingers won. | ||||||

| Greg was a great guide. We liked the personal stories that he connected with the various sites. All food places were great. Please let me know when you are offering the progressive dinner activity. It was great to see Terry (from Key West) again. Connie Norton | ||||||

| We very much enjoyed our Milwaukee food tour. It was an interesting combination of history and food and we learned a lot about Milwaukee. It's a much nicer city these days than I recall it being in the past. Our guide was very nice and informative. There is a lot of walking--probably a little more than we thought, but it is broken up by places where you can sit. My husband has minor back issues so the breaks were welcome. We would definitely recommend it. | ||||||

| If you enjoy checking out new places and having a chance to taste a bit before you spend a whole bunch of money for dinner, here's your chance. This is lively paced tour and a fun way to catch the flavor of Milwaukee... we are from Madison and we often look for things do in Milwaukee... this tour was a highlight for us... but I've got to tell you that Theresa the tour operator was sooo delightful...it made the time just that more enjoyable...just do it and have a tasty time.... | ||||||

| A group of friends came from Green Bay, Wisconsin...so I suppose sort of local. We enjoyed our tour guide; she gave alot of information. I especially liked all of the history of the early settlers of Milwaukee and their neighborhoods...wouldn't it be fun to live a little more poorly but happy with not much but some food and clothing? They took care of each other and got along! Milwaukee is a pretty city; we don't usually see or hear that. All that we hear is the crime scene and how terrible that part is. Looks like people are living downtown and living happily. Thank you for the wonderful day. Oh...enjoyed the pizza as well as wine and bakery foods and the beer at the end of the tour! Thanks to all. | ||||||

| The group was all family --- who were in town for a wedding in Wales, WI. We wanted something different to do together that would still allow us to talk, eat, and catch up on family happenings. This outing met and exceeded our expectations and provided ample time to walk, talk , eat and learn about Milwaukee, it's history, and heritage. Thanks for a great start to a night on the town | ||||||
