We enjoyed the tour and food samples. It was a very informative, historical tour. Theresa was so nice and did a great job. Our group of 6 enjoyed getting to know Milwaukee better.

Worth the time and money

My out of town niece raved about the tour to her mother who will visit later. I enjoyed the tour. I was disappointed in the food from Maders. Sandwich was not tasty. Other food was unique and inviting. By choice and medical reasons we do not drink alcohol. Other special drinks for us to enjoy or taste would be good. Sprechers?

Tour of Milwaukee from an outsider's perspective
Sat, Sep 26  11:15 AM Jlehmann4 Male 60-69 Local Group of Friends
The food was uneven. Zafirro's was very good, as was cheese tasting on Old World Third Street. Usinger's was a waste of time. Our guide was relatively new to Milwaukee (10 years.) He read much of his presentation from a paper. This could have been much better with a better guide and a few better selected eateries.

Great way to know Milwaukee
Sun, Sep 20  11:15 AM Glen8Piper Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
This is a great way to get to know the Milwaukee area. In a nutshell, this walking tour takes in the heritage of three of Milwaukee's major ethnic groups--Milwaukee's Italian heritage, German heritage and Irish heritage. It is a great way to learn about the contributions that these three ethnic groups have brought to the city. This is especially so with the German group of immigrants as echoes of Germany abound in this city. I very much enjoyed this walking tour and I very much enjoy staying in Milwaukee; this city really has a story to tell just by looking at its buildings, trying the foods of Milwaukee's many ethnic restaurants and as told in Milwaukee's many festivals during the summer months. Absolutely wonderful!!

Plenty of food and friendly tour guides
Sat, Sep 19  5:30 PM donaldolson Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
There was definitely a mix of different styles of food and the tour guides made sure they mingled with the group. Each place offered a respectable amount of food. We were a little disappointed in the atmosphere and food at the Irish pub, and would have preferred an Irish beer/ale sample here. Save the Pabst/Schiltz comparison for a different eatery. All-in-all, very enjoyable.

Good, But Hard To Hear The Guide, SO JUST OK
Sat, Sep 19  11:15 AM radman68 Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Unspecified
They sold too many tickets and a second female tour guide showed up 1/3 of the way through. Breaking into 2 groups of 10 each did help, BUT the guides still do not have microphones/bullhorns (esp for women without the loudest of voices) so it is very hard to hear them - especially older people. There was a lot of noise from trucks and traffic. That really put a damper on what could have been a very good experience. Food/wine was nice. Stops were good and informative. Overall, good tour IF you can hear it.

Food Tour with Molly was exceptional
Fri, Sep 4  11:15 AM meceagle Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
The food tour concentrated on the Italian and German heritage of Milwaukee. I especially liked the emphasis on local establishments. Molly also gave our group quite a bit of historical information as well, which I found pleasantly surprising. The Italian portion was much more detailed then the German, Brady street was a great walk and we were able to try many different types of food and drink. The German portion was much less involved, not sure why other then after such a long walk maybe there just wasn't enough time to go to more establishments. I would highly reccommend the tour to any foodies out there who also enjoy history. I would also ask for Molly as she did a terrific job keeping schedules and making the tour interesting... We were very pleased with the tour. The history was interesting and the portions of food were good. There is a long break in food/tour activity between Brady Street and Old World 3rd Street, something lacking there, but in all a great experience.

Excellent walking tour - and food was great!

Our delightful tour leader graced us with her knowledge by providing insights and anecdotes about the history, architecture, people, and customs of the area while we walked to the various food and drink stops on the tour. My wife and I, who were on vacation from the East Coast, had a fantastic time! Our two guests from the local area who accompanied us also found the tour to be well worth it – we all had a great time! Thank you!

If you enjoy checking out new places and having a chance to taste a bit before you spend a whole bunch of money for dinner, here's your chance. This is lively paced tour and a fun way to catch the flavor of Milwaukee... we are from Madison and we often look for things do in Milwaukee... this tour was a highlight for us... but I've got to tell you that Theresa the tour operator was sooo delightful...it made the time just that more enjoyable...just do it and have a tasty time....

Fantastic
Sat, Jul 18  5:00 PM crashconway Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
The group was all family --- who were in town for a wedding in Wales, WI. We wanted something different to do together that would still allow us to talk, eat, and catch up on family happenings. This outing met and exceeded our expectations and provided ample time to walk, talk , eat and learn about Milwaukee, it's history, and heritage. Thanks for a great start to a night on the town
