could be much more

The idea is good. There was not much in the way of touring Milwaukee. More driving around than anything. Not recommended for lifelong Milwaukee area residents. When purchasing, was asking about allergies and whether pepperoni or sausage was preferred. Received pizza with many other toppings, many of which were not appetizing. Either further description detailing this before purchase or more direct selections would be appropriate. More pizza, closer together perhaps, if possible. Full at the end, but somehow not satisfied.

We really enjoyed the tour.

Even though it was cold outside, it was fun to see the river and learn the history of the Third Ward. The walk is not overwhelming. Quite easy. The restaurants were very diversified; not all the same, and the food was EXCELLENT. I'm still looking for a recipe to make the black bean balls! And, the chicken dumpling soup has a spice that we couldn't quite figure out, but give us time..... We were under the impression that we would have a glass of beer with each course, but only had it with the sandwich. I think a drink, other than water, would have been a great enhancement to each course. For example, coffee with the cupcake? I would recommend this tour to anyone and we plan on going to a few of the others this summer.

My friend and I went to the Father's Day Bloody Mary Brunch Tour not knowing what to expect. We were surprised with a great guide who gave us some interesting facts about the 3rd Ward that even as a lifelong Milwaukeean, I never knew. Tasty bloody marys and delicious food at each of the 4 stops on the tour - we were STUFFED after! Great way to spend a summer Sunday morning, highly recommend!

My husband and I had a nice experience, and enjoyed all of the history about Milwaukee as well as the variety of pizza. We had plenty to eat, found some places that we'll definitely return to, and liked ending the night with some gelato. If you want something different to do, love pizza and talking to new people, give this tour a try.

We had an excellent time on the Brady Street Food Tour. The tour guide, Maria, was both knowledgeable and fun. We learned a lot about the history of the city we call home and we added at least three more restaurants to our list of places we like to eat :)

Third Ward Food Tour

We enjoyed the Third Ward Food Tour. Marc was a good host, he made sure we were well tended. We were hoping for more varied restaurants like Coquette, or other ethnic restaurants. We thought Spin was a strange choice and Cuvee doesn't really serve food, so we weren't sure why it was on a restaurant tour. We had a good time and definitely had enough to eat.

Fun and Informative

We really enjoyed the tour from the first bite of Pizza to the final stop. I learned a lot about the Brady Street area that I didn't know. I will go back to some of the stops to spend more time and buy some products. I was a bit afraid that just having tastings wouldn't be enough food, but we were definately full by the end of the tour. I want to take the 3rd Ward tour next. We all had a great time.

Even if you think you know everything there is to know about the place where you grew up, think again. That was one of the biggest surprises for me on the Third Ward tour. Not only did I get to experience resturants that I didn't even know exisisted, I was given some very interesting facts about Milwaukee that I had never heard before. The food was delicious! The tour guide was engaging, interesting, and very knowledgable about Milwaukee. I would definately take this tour again and want to try some of the other tours offered now.

We very much enjoyed our tour. The guide knew a good amount of Milwaukee history and was very personable. Everyone liked the food, especially the pizza and pretzel rolls. Nice thing to do with out of town guests.

Hard to believe we were on the same tour as the other reviewer (9/29/12). We felt there was plenty to eat. We skipped dinner because we were still full. We went back to some of the stops the following day to take home samples we had tried. Learned a lot of interesting facts about the area. Guide was informative and pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

Great Christmas Excursion
Sat, Dec 11, 10   9:30 AM vmannis Female 50-59 Local Group of Friends
Christmas around Milwaukee tour was a most enjoyable excursion. Traveling around and visiting eight businesses gave us a different perspective on how the diversity and uniqueness is incorporated into the holiday season. We especially appreciated the thorough explanation of the business's perspective to meeting customers' holiday traditions. As a suggestion, give more shopping time and allow the business representative to share with the group about their business and operation. The best tour and talk was given at the Stone Creek Coffee warehouse.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was looking for something different to do with two friends from out of town. We had a good time and enjoyed the commentary and even I learned a few new things about Milwaukee. Finding our way back to the start of the tour was a little problematic since the bus didn't run on the schedule we were told, but we managed to find our way back to the car eventually after doing a little shopping along Brady Street. I will be recommending this tour to friends.
