Portland's charming Old Port district is full of the fresh ocean breeze and scents of coffee houses, bakeries and award-winning restaurants. Join Maine Foodie Tours as we uncover the storied past of this vibrant and eclectic city through a light-hearted and revealing sampling of its local fare.

Meet the talented artisans who continue to create and inspire Maine foodies. Along the way, you’ll have an opportunity to learn about the area’s rich culture and history and participate in mouth-watering tastings.

Our guides will lead you to 7 local vendors to sample delectable, Maine-inspired foods and obtain a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of these culinary delights:

  • Fresh lobster straight from the harbor
  • Locally made artisan cheese
  • The best smoked seafood in the industry
  • Downeast Maine wild blueberry preserves
  • Chocolate truffles featuring Aroostook County potatoes

What Is Not Included?

  • Gratuities for tour guides are not included but always greatly appreciated!
  • Beverages other than the ale tastings are not included, but you may bring your own or purchase them at the start of the tour (such as soft drinks, soda, energy drinks, juices, water, etc. for around $1-3).
  • Remember to bring valid ID with you in order to participate in the ale tastings.
