About The Seller:
Malibu Pier Sportfishing continues the longstanding tradition of running sportfishing and other boating excursions from the historic Malibu Pier. Built in 1905, the 780-foot-long wooden fishing pier expands into the Pacific Ocean adjacent to famous Surfrider Beach. The pier opened for public fishing in 1934 and in 1940 the iconic twin buildings were added. In the 90's, El Niņo storms damaged the pier and the State had to shut it down. In 1999, the State began an extensive restoration project to bring the pier back to its 1950's glory. State Parks Concessionaire Malibu Pier Partners signed on in 2007 to bring back the pier's beloved tourist attractions such as restaurants, shops and boating excursions to this legendary hot spot.
