Melting Pot Tours is the only food tour company of its kind in Los Angeles. Co-founders Lisa & Diane Scalia are L.A. natives and lifelong residents of Italian descent who truly 'live to eat'. Lisa, a caterer and private tour guide, and Diane, a professional chef, author and food writer, together have over 25 years of combined experience in the food industry and the culinary arts.
Given their lifetimes of experience living and working in the Los Angeles area, the Scalia sisters are particularly well qualified to select the most interesting and intriguing neighborhoods in the city and surrounding communities in which to conduct food tours. Their careful selection of locales for their tours ensure their guests an entertaining, fulfilling and memorable culinary experience.

Welcome to the most enjoyable and unique "gourmet dinner theatre" you've ever experienced!
DInner & A Story is a progressive dinner tour featuring 3 or 4 diverse restaurants within walking distance in a single evening. Tours typically include:
- Wine and appetizers at the first stop
- One or two main course tasting menus at the next stop(s)
- Dessert and coffee at the last stop.
Guests enjoy fresh air and a little exercise as they walk between destinations while stories and local color about the community are shared by the tour leader.
A significant signature of these tours is a visit to the table by the Chef/Proprietor of each restaurant, to personally share their inspirational stories of what makes the heart and soul of their establishments so special. Their passion lies in the foods and wines we will be tasting, and the tales of their journeys adds unforgettable color to the evening.
On occasion, variations on this themed activity may occur with a multi-course meal served at a single ethnic restaurant.
