AMAZING!!

This was the highlight of our LA trip! We're not into the Hollywood thing so the farmers market and 3rd street tour was so refreshing! It is the way I always want to see cities bc you enjoy the local eateries, culture and history which gave me a better appreciation for the place. I wish we had a farmers market like LA. It is a true treasure. Summer was amazing and spoke 4 languages during the trip. We had a great time with her. She's a LA native but has traveled all over so she has roots but has seen other places to let us know which ones are more worth it and local rather than touristy and trendy.

My husband and I were traveling to CA for a wedding and while out there we celebrated our ten year anniversary. We booked this food tour as a way to celebrate. We enjoyed the entire experience! Our guide was ready to go right on time and kept us moving while giving us time to look around and take in the sights. It was the first time I had Brazilian and Indian food (both which I enjoyed very much) and my first time eating sushi - excellent as well. We had both sweets and savories, as well as something to drink throughout the tour. if you are interested in learning about the Farmers Market and local resteraunts and foods - it's a great opportunity. One other thing :) We were very happily surprised at the portions of the food that we were able to try. Definitely didn't need another bite to eat for several hours afterwards.

As a solo traveler I thoroughly enjoyed my Farmers Market Tasting Tour of LA. Only mistake was on my behalf, in which I booked the tour for the day I had to leave - NEVER book a tasting tour the day you're leaving or else you cant enjoy all the tastes that you've sampled throughout the tour during your stay. Next time, first up for certain.

Kendell, our group leader was great, had a good handle on the business's information and history, as well as a very comfortable personality in relating to the group. Thank you for a great morning in LA. We will definitely recommend this tour to friends. Eleanor Shorter

This tour provided a great introduction to the Farmer's Market and 3rd Street in LA. We got a nice variety of tasty food to sample. Our tour guide was Kendall, who is super sweet and informative. It was my first visit to the Farmer's Market and 3rd Street. Next time I go back to LA, I am definitely going back to explore more of what that area has to offer. So many restaurants and shops to browse through. If it wasn't for this tour, I wouldn't even know about this place. Thanks Melting Pot Tours!!

Fantastic Food Tasting Tour

The tasting tour was both informative and delicious. The history of the Farmer's Market and of the various businesses featured that comprise the Farmer's Market was both very interesting and provided a good cross section of the cuisines offered. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk down 3rd Street with the many restaurant stops along the way. We sampled foods that I normally don't eat, but surprisingly, I did enjoy! The time just flew by and we left with full tummies! I'd highly recommend the tour as it offered a great variety of the many types of cuisines available in the Farmer's Market area.

If you like food sampling, if you'd like the inside scoop & history of LA Farmer's Market area & restaurants, in a very relaxed & fun atmosphere, this is the tour for you! Bring an appetite and a comfortable pair of walking shoes and you are set! Diane is the best tour guide EVER! I just wish I could have stayed with her & the group all day! I can't wait to go on the Old Town Pasadena & LA Latin food tours! I would highly recommend this to locals as well as tourists! Well worth the money! I went on this tour alone, but had a great time! We had a small group, but everyone was so friendly! I plan on bringing my family members and/or friends next time! Yup, this is the tour to go on if you're in the LA area!

LA is a huge city that is defined in part by Hollywood and celebrities. This tour gives you insight into an old LA told through food, the immigrants that prepared it and the establishments that still exist in a unique, rarely seen side of the city. Loved the tour, loved the guide, loved the food and loved the exercise. It was amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about the history of LA.
