Awesome by Acclimation!

I've taken walking tours recently in London, Berlin, and Munich. All were great, but the tour with Kendall as the tour guide was the best. Es war fatastisch!!! Kendall was friendly, knowledgeable, informative, interesting, funny, courteous, and thougthful, though not necessarily in that order but, in fact, all at the same time, and more. Afterwards, I ran into another person who'd been on the tour. I asked him what he thought. His single word response was "awesome." I was in LA to see the Minnesota v. USC football game and stayed through Tuesday, During that time, I was able to see some other sights as well, one of which was the Reagan Presidential Library. Maybe I'm being unpatriotic, but Kendall's tour surpassed it, too. Perhaps she should run for President! (PS If someone could send me an appropriate address, I'd like to send her a small wedding present.) William L. French, Rochester, MN.

First, our guide did a superior job. She knew the territory, shared historical tidbits, and made the whole tour fun and interesting. The shops and restaurants we visited were well worth the time, both for the quality of the wares and for the opportunity to speak with owners and workers who clearly like what they do. We revisited several after the tour. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience - you will too.

ABSOLUTE MUST DO WHEN IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA!!!

Trust me you will not be disappointed. My 11 year old son and I had an awesome time. Lisa and Diane were very knowledgeable about the farmers market and the surrounding area. All of the vendors were very friendly and the varieties of foods to sample were delicious. Both Lisa and Diane make you feel welcomed and leave you with a genuine appreciation for the market area. It is more than just a sampling of food but, also a lesson of the various cultures and pride that each of the shop and restaurant owners have for their businesses. I would definitely do it again!!!

As a solo traveler I thoroughly enjoyed my Farmers Market Tasting Tour of LA. Only mistake was on my behalf, in which I booked the tour for the day I had to leave - NEVER book a tasting tour the day you're leaving or else you cant enjoy all the tastes that you've sampled throughout the tour during your stay. Next time, first up for certain.

Diane was a wonderful guide, introducing us to great foods and places serving food, that we did not know existed in LA. Her knowledge as a cook, and her rapport with restarant proprietors ,gave us great insight into the vibrant food scene in this part of LA

Had a really good morning (and part of afternoon!). A great variety of tastings and locations with interesting commentary and details. We thought that the activity provided good value and, above all else, introduced us to places that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Highly recommended.

wonderful food, from donuts to sushi

We really enjoyed this food tour. The first half focused on the Farmers Market, where we heard some of the history and had samples from several shops. The second half walked along 3rd Street, again giving some history as well as stops at multiple restaurants - including Indian and Japanese/sushi. The food was good and plentiful (especially at a couple of the restaurants), and the discussion was interesting. We've done several food tours in different cities, and this was among our favorites - highly recommended!
