Old Pasadena Food Tasting Tour

We went into this not knowing what to expect. Reviews were good, so we gave it a try. We ranged in age from 18 to 65. All had a great time. More food than we could eat. Lots of variety. The history was interesting. Dress for the weather - it was cold the day we went and some of the stops were set-up outside.

My family--husband, two teenage sons and myself--all thoroughly enjoyed our Melting Pot tour of Pasadena. We enjoyed every morsel of food from tortas to falafel to gelato. Everything was delicious and we loved discovering some of Pasadena's hidden gems. The specialty stops were also fantastic and we are happily using our olive oil, soaps and teas at home. For a tasty, entertaining and educational experience, this tour is not to be missed! Thank you Summer!

Wonderful way to see and experience Pasadena! Loved our tour guide! She was knowledgeable about the history and architecture of the city. Especially loved the tastes and background information on each shop and restaurant where we stopped. This tour was well worth the time and money!

My parents were in town visiting from out of state, and I thought this would be a fun little outing for my mom, who loves to cook (and eat!). Both of my parents had an amazing time, and got to sample a multitude of cuisines from around the world in a 20 block radius. Everything was delicious and unique, and my mom thought that the series of mini meals was the best way she'd ever had dinner. Our tour guide, Summer, was incredibly knowlegible about Pasadena's rich history, as well as the restaurants and the food. She even pointed out additional places to visit that weren't necessarily a part of the tour that we could visit later! She was friendly and dynamic, and made the tour an incredible experience! I would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the South Bay area (or any locals who haven't had the opportunity!), and I am definitely planning to go ton other Melting Pot Tours when more guests come to visit. What a fantastic evening!

All the food was wonderful and extremely varietal. Enjoyed the addition of food for some of our other senses. Our guide Summer was perfect in every way.

If your are a local or from out of town this is a must do tour of Old Town Pasadena. It has it all, good food, knowledgeable guide, delicious treats, surprise hide aways, visits to stores you may have wanted to go to but never did all mixed in with some interesting history of Old Town Pasadena. A highly recommended treat.

The Old Pasadena Food Tasting Tour provides a little bit of Pasadena history, a little bit of architectural information, and a whole lot of food in a four-hour period walking (more like moseying) around Old Town Pasadena. Stops include those at shops and restaurants that sell soap (obviously no tasting there, just sniffing), olive oil and vinegar, tea, gelato, gourmet chocolates, Peruvian food, Mexican food, and more. The tour did an excellent job of addressing special dietary needs and we were stuffed to the gills, with plenty of food and samples to take home as well. My only complaints are that the initial optional wine/cheese tasting was disorganized (the staff at the wine shop clearly had no idea what to do) and the tour sometimes languished a bit at a particular stop.
