Wow. Great job. I was thoroughly impressed. A great deal of food and information and my son and fiance loved it. The day started out beautiful and ended beautiful. I can't wait to go on the Los Angeles Tour! Keep up the amazing job ladies!

Excellent tour with great food! The Farmer's Market is full of history and an eating tour through it is the way to see it! Add to that a continuation of great food down 3rd Street along with a knowledgeable guide and you have a wonderful and worthwhile event. Make sure not to eat before because you will need that empty tummy for a lot of great food! Kendall, our guide , was terrific - very entertaining and full of information. Next time I will try the Pasedena tour!

My husband and I used to live in Pasadena and we were amazed to learn something new about the lovely city. We were always in awe of the architecture in Old Town and had wondered about its history. We were entertained and educated by our enthusiastic tour guide, Diane. Her passion for the food and love of the city was manifested through several heart warming stories. The portions served at the venues were quite filling and incredibly delicious. The tour ended with an authentic, delectable gelato. (Just what we needed after walking around in the sunny Cali weather). Old Town Pasadena is a quaint and charming city, and the food tour exemplified just that! This tour is a must if you love food and architecture!

I moved part of my life to Southern California three years ago and try to adventure from time to time to learn new things. Whether you are local or from a foreign country don't miss this fun walking tour. You will make approx 8 stops sampling food. Don't eat before you arrive!!! You will be full when the tour is over.

Diana walks on water. Our tour was very well planned and organized. Diana was incredibly well informed and personable. I have lived here many years and never knew any of the history she provided. The food bits were fun, tasty and generous. Can't wait to take the next tour. I would recommend this to everyone.

T can say without hesitation that I really enjoyed the tour/ I was quited impressed by the knowledge of our tour guide. I have lived in Southern California for more than seventy years and I learned a great deal about Pasadena. And to go with all of that our guide was very interesting. And the choice of business establishments that we v8isited was excellent. (Especially the food establishments.)

Having grown up in L.A. it put the Market into perspective. The tour of 3rd Street was very interesting also.

On my recent trip to California, I returned to what I knew I would enjoy, that included a walk on Venice Beach, drive through Beverly Hills and a visit of Rodeo Drive. Knowing that my husband loves to do more than just what the tourists do and that he enjoys hearing the stories behind specific foods and the places that serve them, I could not stop myself from getting us tickets for The Melting Pot food tour. We met with the wonderful Diane and got a "taste" of the awesome Original Farmer's Market and the great places to eat on W. 3rd. The following day, we went back to spend more time in the stores that caught my eye as well as The Grove area adjacent to the market. The food was outstanding and it was a perfect way to not settle into any one place to eat, but try a bit of many. PERFECT for my husband and I, and we highly recommend it!!

Food Tour of Old Pasadena

We all enjoyed it and had a positive experience. I would emphasize more historical detail in the tour (not only the broad sweep of history but what happened to individuals like the Lucky Baldwin story. Proprietors were overall friendly and the food was good. Our group's favorite was the Mexican restaurant, with the falafels being the weakest. The soap store was interesting by the proprietor sold her product too hard for my taste.

The walking and tasting tour was great! I would love to do it in other areas, Culver City would a shoe in. The local information that Diane gave was very interesting. I've been to Pasadena many times but just on the main streets. The "jewels" in the alley ways and court yards were great,

Great way to spend a day in Pasadena
Sun, Aug 8  10:30 AM nancytwu Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Compared to NYC food tours, the food quality in Pasadena was not quite as good across the board, but there were some great choices (especially Chozo Mama and Beyond the Olive), and a GREAT amount of variety and so much food! Also loved the visit to the Soap Kitchen. This tour is great for out of town visitors, because you can spend the morning on the tour, and the afternoon revisiting places to shop and eat.
