Love Farmers' Market and learning about its early days. Also great to find out about the current shops and restaurants now in the area. Diane did a wonderful job. Thanks! |

Diane is an amazing tour guide--extremely knowledgeable and enthusiatic about all the locations we visited. This tour would be a fun event for out-of-town guests and also for locals who want to learn more about their community. I had no idea there were so many great restaurants/bakeries/tea shops in the area. |

Second part of tour not needed

More then enough tastings to sample. Tour should have ended at the Market...the second part seemed like "filler" to justify the cost. The walking blocks were uninteresting and by this time you really have had enough food. |

Our tour guide, Mike, was wonderful - full of information and very enthusiastic and attentive. The shops and restaurants we visited welcomed us warmly and the food was great. What a fun and different way to get to know a city. I would highly recommend this tour of Old Pasadena. |

Enjoyed the tour guide more than the "food" part of the tour. The tour guide was very informative, patient, and easy going. |

The food, restaurants and shops were stellar. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The owners of the restaurants/shops provided us with great information and were pleasant. It was a beautiful day and we loved everything about this trip. The one concern was the location where we met. It was not marked because the restaurant went out of business so we were a little confused but other than that we loved it |

I really enjoyed the tour. It was something different for my husband and I. We recommend it highly. We found out about places that we will definitely revisit. We also have lots of new places to take visitors as we are always the designated tour guides for guests. |

Wonderful way to see and experience Pasadena! Loved our tour guide! She was knowledgeable about the history and architecture of the city. Especially loved the tastes and background information on each shop and restaurant where we stopped. This tour was well worth the time and money! |

3 Years Later & Melting Pot Food Tour Still Rocks!

My husband and I decided to treat my mom for her birthday to a Melting Pot Food Tour. It had been 3 years since our last tour, so we were pretty excited to see what had changed. We had the pleasure of having Lisa (we had her sister Diane on our previous tour) as our tour guide this time around. Lisa was just as fun and knowledgeable about the area, the history, and the businesses that we visited. My mom had a great time, and we are so thankful that we decided to try this tour again. |

This food tour was a surprise bday present for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it! We had such a great time, tasted some amazing food, and met some really nice people. Diane was a fantastic tour guide. We are locals to LA but don't usually spend a lot of time outside of the South Bay, so we really appreciated learning about all the different family-owned businesses around the Farmer's Market and 3rd Street. It was so great to meet some of the business owners/managers too. They were so nice to go out of their way to come speak with us. Since the tour, we've told so many friends and family about it. Thanks Diane! |

The walking and tasting tour was great! I would love to do it in other areas, Culver City would a shoe in.
The local information that Diane gave was very interesting. I've been to Pasadena many times but just on the main streets. The "jewels" in the alley ways and court yards were great, |

A friend and I went on this tour in November 2009. We are from Australia and had not been to the Farmers Market before. We decided to take the tour because of all the positive comments we had read. How glad we are that we did. It was very informative about the Farmers Market and the LA area in general, we visited many food outlets in the Farmers Market that we probably would not have visited if we had been wandering around by ourselves and we certainly tried and enjoyed some foods that we would not have purchased if on our own. All the stallholders we met were very nice and the foods that we tried were excellent. You certainly don't need lunch after this tour!! The tour guide was lovely and it was obvious that she loved LA and had a great rapport with the owners/staff of all the outlets that we visited. The Japanese restaurant at the end was a standout as was the Bundt shop and the red velvet cake that we tried. If you like trying different foods then you should definitely take this tour. It was worth every cent. |

As a solo traveler I thoroughly enjoyed my Farmers Market Tasting Tour of LA. Only mistake was on my behalf, in which I booked the tour for the day I had to leave - NEVER book a tasting tour the day you're leaving or else you cant enjoy all the tastes that you've sampled throughout the tour during your stay. Next time, first up for certain. |

Tasting our way through Old Pasadena was not only the most pleasant 3+ hours, but also a great value. With Lisa as our enthusiastic and well-informed guide we learned about the history and architecture of Old Pasadena, while tasting an amazing number and variety of food and drinks, and met charming chefs, owners, and staff. Although I get to Pasadena once in awhile, I did not know any of the places we explored. I loved having a small, amiable group (12) all of whom were up for whatever was next on the agenda. The pace was great. . . I can't believe that we experienced so much in the time that we had. . . even happened to get on the Channel 5 news by chance! I can't wait to take another tour with Melting Pot. |
