...would have taken much longer to get all those insights if not for this tour - an issue when you have limited time in town! Plus..we were stuffed at the end of it but more importantly, stuffed only with good food - not guaranteed if you are just wondering around and picking it by yourself.
Also, Lisa was invaluable in pointing out which restaurants to get to whilst in LA - this made our trip even more memorable - thanks! |

We loved the part at the Farmer's market and wished they would have stayed there and visited more food places. After we left the Farmer's market the walk was a tad long between the restaurants and it wasn't in the nicest area during parts of it. I don't know if it was due to having a large tour group, but the amount of food we ate was less than on the Pasadena tour. By the time we walked back to the Farmer's Market we were hungry again. |

The Melting Pot Food Tour of Old Pasadena was sooo fun and very tasty! Not only that, I had originally reserved for a particular weekend and had a family emergency...they were very cool with rescheduling. All the staff of Melting Pot are super friendly and very fun! They took us to places we probably would never have found on our own and got to taste various things. Just had a great time for a weekend thing to do, even if you are a local!! I highly recommend it!! |

My husband and I had decided to take an in state trip and flew into Los Angeles from San Francisco. We wanted to do something out of the ordinary and since my husband is a executive chef we decided to take a food tour! I Googled food tours and found this company and perused through the wonderful reviews. Overall, we had a great experience with our tour leader on Sunday, January 22nd walking through the Farmers Market at Fairfax Avenue and Third Street and then walking along 3rd Street. The Farmers Market was built on land originally bought by Arthur Gilmore- a dairy farmer and developer-in the 1880s and opened in 1934. Our tour guide was quite informative, had a wonderful, bubbly personality, and kept us on our toes! I highly recommend this tour to others who are interested in The Grove, The Farmers Marke and a bit of Los Angeles history! |

Summer was a wonderfully informative and friendly guide. Her knowledge of the areas we visited added another dimension to the food experience. The food was delicious, the hosts welcoming, and the areas diverse - we had such a brilliant morning eating our way through East LA. Homeboy Industries was an inspiration - and a perfect first stop to set the seen for the rest of our food adventure! If I had more time, I would have done their other tours! This tour is a must for foodies! |

I bought tickets to melting pot tours as a christmas gift for my husband. He loved it!! We are both native southern californians and had no idea there was so much history and diversity in. Pasadena. Our tour guide was Summer and she did a fantastic job of mixing local history in with the food tour. The tour itself was fun and the food was yummy. I have recommended this tour to my friends and can't wait to go on another food tour. |

We live about 30 minutes from Pasadena, but my parents were visiting from NY and wanted to do something special. A friend recommended the Melting Pot LA tour, but the Pasadena one fit better into our schedule. Our guide, Barbara, was super fun and friendly. She knew a ton about the area and places we visited, as well as knew most of the business owners and employees by name. The businesses were very welcoming and often the owners came out to talk to our group directly and we were offered many discounts. I'm a vegetarian and I was able to try something in every establishment, but the meat eaters were also very happy with our selections. Super fun and I would definitely do it again, recommend to a friend and give as a gift! |

My family and I really enjoyed our tour. It's a great way to spend three hours and the price is reasonable. Barbara was a great tour guide - friendly, enthuastic and informative. It's actually my second time on this tour this year - I enjoyed it so much the last time, I brought family who were visiting from England with me. I've also bought tickets for this tour as a gift for a friend. I lived in Pasadena for 5 years but all the tour stops were new to me on the first tour. I'll definitely return to some of the restaurants and shops, and hope to do another Melting Pot tour in the future! |

My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the Old Pasadena Food Tasting Tour in August 2011. There were only 5 in our group, so we go a little more time at each stop to shop and interact. The food was absolutely fantastic. Our guide was very knowledgeable and she provided a very enjoyable evening. This is a tour that we would definitely recommend and even do again! It's a great way to see the city and learn what food is available. The walking history tour is quite informative. |

Me and my husband went on the farmers market food tour together, and it was a great way to learn about the market, LA, and its food. Bring your appetite, there is a good amount of food but it is spaced out so you don't feel disgustingly full. Wear comfy shoes, because there is a good amount of walking, and our tour guide was great very knowledgable! Oh bring you sunglasses too, because you are walking outdoors. |

This was the highlight of our LA trip! We're not into the Hollywood thing so the farmers market and 3rd street tour was so refreshing! It is the way I always want to see cities bc you enjoy the local eateries, culture and history which gave me a better appreciation for the place. I wish we had a farmers market like LA. It is a true treasure. Summer was amazing and spoke 4 languages during the trip. We had a great time with her. She's a LA native but has traveled all over so she has roots but has seen other places to let us know which ones are more worth it and local rather than touristy and trendy. |

Our guide was well informed about the area with fun facts of history. We got a taste of many different types of foods that progressed in a very well thoughtout way. Everyone in our group is excited to take another tour with this company very soon!!! |
