Melting Pot Food Tours

My wife and I enjoyed the tour of the farmers market and the stroll down 3rd street. Our guide Diane must know everyone in the immediate area. She is fantastic and very enthuisiastic about showing tourists the Los Angeles farmers market. I must confess that our favorite parts of the tour involved the tastings at each site. From fruit to meat, sweets to tea, this tour covered it all...I highly recommend this tour for a great adventure through the streets of Los Angeles and the farmers market.

My husband and I had a great time hearing the history of Pasadena, tasting the various ethnic offerings, the walk in the fresh air and talking with other people in the group. It was an overall wonderful experience with our hostess, Summer, providing an additional personal touch. Our only regret was that at times we felt rushed to eat and move on. We came back home and have told several others of the wonderful tour and will give it as a Christmas gift to our son and daughter-in-law. Thank you melting pot tours!

The food was amazing and the experience was great because I discovered foods that I wouldn't have normally found if I would have just gone to the farmers market by myself. It was truly a wondersul experience and highly recommended!

I have lived in LA for many year but had not been to Farmers Market for over 40 years. The smells were wonderful. Each eating stop was delightful but hearing the history of the restaurant and/or area was important too. I took the tour solo but plan on taking the Pasadena tour with my wife. It was a very lovely day. Thanks........

Every minute of the tour was great! Our guide, Mike, was great! He was conversant and fun, he had a good time so we had a good time. I loved the idea of having a bite to eat, then taking a walk, another bite to eat, another walk, and so on. We snaked our way through the alleys and hidden shops and learned about the old buildings and architecture styles. Hearing the back stories of the shop owners and meeting them in person was special. Entertaining from beginning to end!

A must. Kendall was so knowledgable about Old Pasadena..She was an excellent tour guide and made the day one I will not forget. . I.saw places I never knew existed . I recommend it as a must see when traveling to L.A. or even if you live here. Food Galore. You end with a full happy and content tummy .

I haven't stopped talking about it yet. It was most informative and fun. I have lived in L.A. for over 30 years and never knew some of spots we visited existed. The food was outstanding. It was one of the most enjoyable tours I have ever taken in this city. Our tour guide Kendall was a delight, she keep us interested from beginning to end. I would certainly recommend this tour. My guides name was Lisa and she was very sweet and knowledgeable. My date and I were running a bit behind and she was still very accommodating and we didn't miss much! I would definitely go do another tour. The weather was nice and it wasn't crowded (morning session).

My family and I did the Farmers Market & W. 3rd Street Food Tasting Tour and loved it. I am not a doughnut eater, and I still cannot stop thinking about the doughnuts from Bob's Doughnuts and coffee. The tour was a nice way to sample a little of everything at the Farmers Market. Everything was wonderful, the food, the history and the tour guide. If you are in the area make sure you check this tour out.

My family and I recently attended the East LA Latin Food Tour. What a great day. What better way to experience the local flavors of a city. We enjoyed the food, history and our tour guide, Summer. We enjoyed the tour so much, we came back the next day to do the Farmers Market & 3rd Street tour as well.

This was a fun tour and different than other food walking tours I've taken. I've never been on the LA metro system before - by the looks of it I'd say not too many others take it either, it's quite clean. This tour didn't have as much shopping as I'd have liked. Kendall was great and is a joy to spend time with, I've had her on the Farmer's Market tour before. I enjoyed all of the stops but thought the last coffee shop could have been removed or something else put is its place. I'll be back to take the Pasadena tour with this outfit.

Pasadena was a lovely tour, guide Barbara, was a pro.

Our tour guide Summer was awesome. The tour was not only informative, but also enjoyable and fun. We had a lovely evening, and hated to see it end.

From the teenagers to the parents, even with a vegetarian, the tour was very much enjoyed. Our Guide, Summer was great, and she knew alot about the history and events associated with the Farmers Market and 3rd Street. There was plenty of time to see everything, and more than enough food for all. We even saw a movie star! Warning - Don't eat before you go!
