Melting Pot Food Tours

Hearing the stories behind the restaurants was fun and made us appreciate the food even more. We enjoyed the food at the farmer's market so much we decided to changes our dinner plans that night.

My friend and I went out to LA for a mini vacation and looked for some things to do that were out of the norm for touristisy things.I saw their reviews on trip advisor and decided to book not knowing what to really expect. It was an amaaazing time! Our tour guide was full of knowledge and a blast to talk with! It was very well organized and fun for all! I would definately recommend this tour to others. My husband and I are planning a trip to LA in the near future and I will definately take him on this one.

I had a lot of fun on the tour and we went to so many places! We tried tons of great food and drink and had a great time seeing the city. The only slightly negative thing I can say about the tour was that we added on the optional wine and cheese portion which I thought was going to be a wine tasting. It ended up being one glass of wine with some cheeses to sample which were all very good but I had expected a little more for the extra $15. Overall I thought the tour was well worth it though and I would definitely go on another one when I come back to LA.

Her commentary was trite and poorly presented. This can be fixed: she can hook up with seasoned guides to the area and practice her commentary with a coach. Still, I wouldn't have visited Pasadena without this tour, and it was lovely to see the town and eat while I did it.

The tour guide was great, the samplings were diverse and all quite yummy. A great way to spend three hours in LA.

We enjoyed the tour. We were impressed by our guides knowledge of Old Pasadena. The places we stopped were ready for us and had the food ready.

The event was not awful, I would recommend it to my mom who does not go to restaurants often. But for me and my boyfriend who have been to some of the best restaurants in the world including NY and Paris, the restaurants on the tour were unimpressive. I also thought it was awful that we were required to go around in a circle to share our names with the group. I'm sure this experience would be great for Suzie and Bill from Kansas, but for someone with food demands equivalent to that of Gordon Ramsay I would skip it.

My friends and I LOVED this tour. Lisa was the BEST!! Not only did you get to taste local fare but you got to discover restaurants you didn't even know were within a city so close to home.

We had a great time! My family lives here and we learned so much! The tour was great for our son, too, who really enjoyed all the fun food. Wonderful tour and tour guide. Everyone was really nice.

Wow. Great job. I was thoroughly impressed. A great deal of food and information and my son and fiance loved it. The day started out beautiful and ended beautiful. I can't wait to go on the Los Angeles Tour! Keep up the amazing job ladies!

This was well worth the money. Food was good. Tour was interesting. Guide was great! I would love to do this again :)

Debra did a phenomenal job with both history and food facts, not to mention she was just a delight as a guide! Much more food than I've typically been given on food tours, and especially great variety. Clearly, much thought and planning was put into the types of cuisines and the order in which it was sampled - not to many sweets / carbs in a row. An added value was that we were able to meet and chat with many of the business owners, and were provided with some of their history, also. All in all, great tour, great value!

Excellent tour with great food! The Farmer's Market is full of history and an eating tour through it is the way to see it! Add to that a continuation of great food down 3rd Street along with a knowledgeable guide and you have a wonderful and worthwhile event. Make sure not to eat before because you will need that empty tummy for a lot of great food! Kendall, our guide , was terrific - very entertaining and full of information. Next time I will try the Pasedena tour!

My husband and I used to live in Pasadena and we were amazed to learn something new about the lovely city. We were always in awe of the architecture in Old Town and had wondered about its history. We were entertained and educated by our enthusiastic tour guide, Diane. Her passion for the food and love of the city was manifested through several heart warming stories. The portions served at the venues were quite filling and incredibly delicious. The tour ended with an authentic, delectable gelato. (Just what we needed after walking around in the sunny Cali weather). Old Town Pasadena is a quaint and charming city, and the food tour exemplified just that! This tour is a must if you love food and architecture!

Great tour. Diane, the guide, was delightful. Small group was fun. Food and stories were fabulous. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something different to do.
