I understood the tour to be of downtown LA eateries that specialize in good food. What we got was tasting at the Farmers Market and a history of the market itself. First stop they cut 3 donuts in little pieces at a donut shop, served with so so coffee. One stop was a small piece of taffee, and another was a toothpick dipped in peanut butter, hardly a tasting experience. The tour director was very nice and knowledgeable, but the food was poor and one bite per stop. They say you won't need lunch after the tour, fine if you think 7 little bites constutes lunch, but we immediately went and ate after.
At 50 dollars this was not worth it...at all. |

3 words: Don't skip it. This is a great showcase of the Farmer's Market and immediate surrounding area - we wish we had done this sooner! Great tour guide (Diane) and great food/ambiance. |

We had a great time touring Old Town Pasadena and enjoyed the many and variable foods on this tour. We would recommend this tour to anyone who likes history and/or food. |

We had a great time on our tour. It was our first time in Los Angeles and we were surprised to find that even the locals on the tour weren't familiar with some of the stops we made. The Farmer's Market was wonderful, and the tour guide was entertaining and very knowledgeable. Next time we're in LA we'll try the Old Pasadena tour. |

I must say that I enjoyed the food tour VERY much, I have taken food tour to every location I go (San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Louisiana and Houston) to mention some and the only one that was as good as this one I took in Los Angeles given by Diane was the one from New York.
I enjoyed Diane VERY much, her personality, enthusiasm and knowledge of the City, the food, the restaurants and any questions we had she answered with such enjoyment, it was a delight having her as our tour guide.
I will recommend this tour from the Farmer's Market to EVERYBODY; I will do it again if I go back to Los Angeles, being Hispanic and a Foodie, I enjoy cooking and enjoy food very much and I know when it is great...
Thank you for such a great tour, regards from Roy Rodriguez from The Rio Grande Valley in Texas |

I really enjoyed this tour and the tastings provided. I learned alot about the Farmer's Market and vendors that I would have not picked up going on my own. Our tour guide was excellent and friendly. We made the mistake of thinking you would get small bites of samples and ate before. We were WRONG!! So many samples to try and if in a small group you get the opportunity to have seconds. Well worth your time! |

This tour was one of the highlights of my recent trip to LA from Baltimore, Maryland. I invited my sister and her family who live in LA to do the tasting tour. The Farmers Market and the 3rd Street eateries were a revelation to all of us. Diane, our tour leader, was personable, knowledgeable and a font of information. I had listed a couple of food restrictions when I registered and she graciously had substitutes available when necessary. I hadn't heard of this walking tour until I stumbled across it on TripAdvisor. What good fortune. I would highly recommend this to anyone entertaining out-of-towners, or as in my case, and excellent opportunity to reciprocate with your hosts by taking them on the tour. |

My friend and I went out to LA for a mini vacation and looked for some things to do that were out of the norm for touristisy things.I saw their reviews on trip advisor and decided to book not knowing what to really expect. It was an amaaazing time! Our tour guide was full of knowledge and a blast to talk with! It was very well organized and fun for all! I would definately recommend this tour to others. My husband and I are planning a trip to LA in the near future and I will definately take him on this one. |

I had a lot of fun on the tour and we went to so many places! We tried tons of great food and drink and had a great time seeing the city. The only slightly negative thing I can say about the tour was that we added on the optional wine and cheese portion which I thought was going to be a wine tasting. It ended up being one glass of wine with some cheeses to sample which were all very good but I had expected a little more for the extra $15. Overall I thought the tour was well worth it though and I would definitely go on another one when I come back to LA. |

As restaurant tours go, this was a good one. Selection of food was very good, all the restaurant and store hosts were very pleasant, our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Even though we are senior citizens, the pace was fine and we didn't get tired at all. I thought the time allotted at each stop was particularly well-planned. Never felt rushed. Never felt bored.
One criticism: I did not personally hear Diane, our tour guide say this, but one person in our group reported that at the end of the tour, Diane said "Tips are accepted." If she did indeed say this, I am embarrassed for her. I consider it an insult that a guide--particularly a part owner of the business--would beg for tips.
Thanks for listening. |

This is a great concept, excellently executed. We wanted to visit Old Pasadena, and the tour gave us good exposure to its history and architecture. The food (and soap) was great as well. Diane is a wonderful host. This is a highly recommended tour. Don't miss the Farmer's Market/Third Street tour, either. |

Debra did a phenomenal job with both history and food facts, not to mention she was just a delight as a guide! Much more food than I've typically been given on food tours, and especially great variety. Clearly, much thought and planning was put into the types of cuisines and the order in which it was sampled - not to many sweets / carbs in a row. An added value was that we were able to meet and chat with many of the business owners, and were provided with some of their history, also. All in all, great tour, great value! |
