| We love seeing farmers markets in different parts of the country and world and the tour certainly made our experience that much better. Diane was a fabulous hostess and made the day very enjoyable. There was enough for us to skip lunch and have a great time as well! | ||||||

| An experience I cannot recommend enough. My wife and I left the tour with not just a better understanding of the food in the area, but a much greater understanding of the city's history and an insight of a 'real' LA. On top of the fantastic tour, the other members of our group were a mix of tourists and Angelenos, they gave a further depth to the entire experience. My wife and I often shy away from tours, finding them touristy and restrictive. This tour broke all those stereotypes. Fantastic! | ||||||

| We thought we could do something like this on our own, but we were wrong. There is so much info about the Farmers Market and the various places visited that it is really worthwhile. If you are a local and enjoy trying new places, this is for you. If we lived in the area, we could stay busy for a while trying all of them again. The food sampled during the tour is so varied (& tasty) that there is something for everyone to enjoy. | ||||||

| I did 5 short tours during my trip to the United States. This was the first and the best one. Nothing else came remotely close. Diane was genuinely friendly (there is a huge difference between those who are nice and those who just try to be), the tour was so well thought out, there were so many food stops and each were interesting and tasty. Even though I visit the farmer's market every time I come to LA, I still learned alot and got to try things I hadn't before. I had never ventured to 3rd street and even if I did I probably wouldn't have noticed the little gems of the stores that we stopped at. The street seems dull and mundane but it isn't. It was wonderful and definitely worth a visit after the end of the tour (which I did). This tour was incredible value for money and my being a vegetarian was well catered for (not the case with all the tours I did). This tour is a must (sounds crazy but it's true) for anyone coming to visit LA. | ||||||

| Should you find yourself in LA, this is a unique experience. Tour covers not only the Farmer's Market but also Third Street. You visit a number of stands & restaurants, enjoying their fare. Diane did a great job detailing the history of the sites visited, as well as today's food culture. | ||||||

| I took my 2 young teenage kids with me and we had a blast. We are from the area but still learned alot and met some great people from all over. It doesn't matter whether or not you are a "foodie" ... you will enjoy this tour and learn things. The guide was wonderful... personable and helpful. I really would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to do something different. | ||||||

| We learned a lot throught the personal interaction of the merchants Diane introduced us to----about the source of the produce, how it is best-prepared at home. Lots of time for questions and sampling. As a local, I was shown "insider" info I'd never seen. We also enjoyed a stroll down 3rd. Street to sample/learn from some of the excellent restaurants. Truly fun, entertaining, and educational! I'll bring my out-of town guests on this tour! | ||||||

| The Melting Pot Food Tasting Tour of Old Pasadena was a fantastic investment I made while I was visiting Pasadena and San Marino in August of 2009. It was a Sunday, and I would have been at loose ends, bored, and homesick were it not for this delicious excursion! We stopped not only to taste wonderful dishes at various restaurants and eateries, but as well to visit places that offered other wondrous sensory experiences. The Soap Kitchen and the Bird Pick tea shop were both just amazing! The Tour Operators were experts on the area and its history, so while we walked we learned snippits of the unusual history behind the streets, the buildings, and people - recent and historical. What an amazing place! I'll be back in Pasadena and San Marino again for my work, and I'll be back for the food, the history and the eclectic surroundings. I met other visitors in the tour group and we were all friends by the end of the three hours. The walking pace was comfortable, and the Tour Operators Trish and Lisa were always considerate of our needs for water, restrooms, time to shop and so on. The night after the tour, my brother (also from far away) and I met at one the restaurants I had been introduced to on the Tour, and we enjoyed a great meal at the Cafe Bizou. I can't wait to get back to Old Pasadena! | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed the Old Pasadena Tour. Who knew that all those charming shops and restaurants were hidden in Old Town? As residents of Southern California for many, many years, who attend the Pasadena Playhouse, and have been to the Rose Parade, we still were surprised and delighted to discover these interesting places, and hear some of the history of Pasadena. I would recommend this tour - especially to anyone who loves to eat. | ||||||

| I spent two weeks in L.A. on vacation, and this tour ranks in the top three most memorable experiences. I arrived on the tour late due to getting mixed up with the bus system. Thanks to the cohesive duo of Diane and Lisa, I was able to find the tour group with no problems. Once I found them, I was immediately welcomed to the group. The tour itself was wonderful, as Diane provided the perspective of someone who truly loves what she does and where she lives. She talked not only about the food and establishments we were frequenting, but about nearby stores and other points of interests. She is certainly an insider to this corner of L.A., evidenced by her interactions with people and the degree of knowledge she holds. The food was phenomenal - made sweeter by the others in the tour group. Having a small group provided the opportunity to get to know one another; I met someone who had the same career interests I do. Following the tour, Diane was kind enough to spend a significant amount of time with me, given that I was late. We talked about our mutual interests, and it was uplifting to spend time with someone who loves life as much as she does. Overall, this tour fed not only my body, but my mind and soul. | ||||||

| This was truly one of the top highlights of our week long California excursion! Diane and Trish were absolutely fantastic, full of rich insights into the Market and the neighborhood, and food was stellar! It was a refreshing break from the typical L.A. touristy activities....definitely recommend this to all! | ||||||

| My husband and I really enjoyed Diane and the food tour. We learned a lot about the history of and current Farmers Market, enjoyed all the tastes and got to know a small part of L.A. better. We'd definitely recommend the tour and take another one on a future trip to the area. | ||||||
