Truly enjoyed the tastings of the Farmers Market on 3rd Walking tour with Melting Pot Tours. At first, I thought I would tire of the "sweet stops" which began the tastings, however I was not disappointed with the injection of savory meats and flavors as we made our way through, down and out the market and onto 3rd street. From beginning to end the "tasting docent" was hospitable to both we the tasters and the restauranteurs. Recommend for an insight to Los Angeles History and keeping in touch with the best of Los Angeles eateries..

My parents were in town visiting from out of state, and I thought this would be a fun little outing for my mom, who loves to cook (and eat!). Both of my parents had an amazing time, and got to sample a multitude of cuisines from around the world in a 20 block radius. Everything was delicious and unique, and my mom thought that the series of mini meals was the best way she'd ever had dinner. Our tour guide, Summer, was incredibly knowlegible about Pasadena's rich history, as well as the restaurants and the food. She even pointed out additional places to visit that weren't necessarily a part of the tour that we could visit later! She was friendly and dynamic, and made the tour an incredible experience! I would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the South Bay area (or any locals who haven't had the opportunity!), and I am definitely planning to go ton other Melting Pot Tours when more guests come to visit. What a fantastic evening!

My fiancé and I did the Old Town Pasadena tour this past Saturday. In one word - AMAZING! Our guide, Mike, was entertaining and energetic, and extremely knowledgeable in both the food and local history of Old Town Pasadena. The variety of locations visited represented a good mix of restaurants, specialty food shops, and local historical significance. The food stops presented a good view of the cultural food diversity that Southern California is known for, all of which had their own history and stories which were shared with our group by the owners of the stores and restaurants. No chain restaurants or common stores here - it is all family owned (one dating back to 1910). The length of the tour and the walking were just the right length. We strongly recommend this tour to foodies and those interested in the history of this unique location. If you have out of town guests and are looking to provide a fun, tasty, and informative activity, or a local who hasn't experienced Old Town Pasadena (like us), Melting Pot Tours is for you!

My Sister came out to Los Angeles for a visit and I thought this would be a fun activity as we both enjoy food and cooking and things like foodnetwork channnel, etc. We had a wonderful time and not only tasted some yummy food, but also got to learn some history about Old Pasadena. It was great to meet the shop owners too and learn about their background and how they started their restaurants.

A great way to get acquainted with Farmer's Market. Plenty of samples at the tastings, did not eat another meal until several hours later. We definitely enjoyed having some LA history brought to life and look forward to enjoying all the FM has to offer many times in the future.

Had a really good morning (and part of afternoon!). A great variety of tastings and locations with interesting commentary and details. We thought that the activity provided good value and, above all else, introduced us to places that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Highly recommended.

We had a small group-just my fifty-something Australian husband and I, and a young, twenty-something couple from Sacramento, CA.Our guide Kendall was just lovely and told us so much about living in LA as well as helping us sample some seriously yummy food. The pace of the tour was just right. If we had time, we would have taken other tours esp. the Pasadena one.We will recommend the tours to anyone we know.Informative delicious fun....who could fault that?

A fun and informative way to get to know the Farmers Market and 3rd Street. Tastings were plentiful, our guide was charming and attentive and I got to know new restaurants. This is a tour for tourists and locals. The early start was worth it.

I took a friend and her boyfriend for her birthday. We had a blast, and even Mark said he got enough to eat. Everything on the trip was scrumptious. The only thing I would change is to give more time for shopping at each location. We didnt get to buy anything but are planning a trip back shortly for a shopping day It was worth the money and would be great for any age group
