christine was informative and entertaining!

We enjoyed her stories of characters who built parts of Miami, and her descriptions of the the different foods. She also talked of the families that ran the restaurants. The food was ready when we arrived and was so delicious and surprising! We would never have tried some of these dishes without her guidance.

We met Christine at the Book Shop & had our first food tasting. There were only four of us with the tour guide. The next 3 hours consisted of a leisurely stroll full of fascinating details about the area - history, architecture, famous personalities - complemented by the very tasty range of foods.

South Beach Food Tour - Must Do!

Really enjoyed learning more about the history of Miami Beach and Art Deco and most of all, getting to sample some great area food! My recommendation to any tourist is to stay off of Ocean Drive (for food that is, with the exception of A Fish Called Avalon) and to take this food tour as soon as possible upon arriving to the area... that will give you plenty of places to eat during your stay. Our favorite stops were the Cuban, Brazilian, and Peruvian restaurants.

I went on the tour on the hottest day so far in Miami! It was 90 degrees and sweltering, but it didn't matter. The tour was great and the food was even better. I am only here for a few weeks and I like to get a sampling of everything when I visit the city. This is the perfect way to do this. The tour guide gave us history of the different foods but he also gave us many highlights of the south beach area. The food was amazing. I liked the choices of places we went to. Really a must do!

I only had 3 hours in Miami so I tried the South Beach Tour des Forks Food Tour with Ferreke ( sorry if the spelling is wrong)and it was FANTASTIC! We had great food from local restaurants and learned about the history of Miami. We also learned where to stay and what was available to do in all different price ranges. Our guide had only done the tour for three days but he was a fountain of information. I left feeling full from great food and feeling as if I knew as more about South Beach in those three hours than I would find out in two weeks of staying there. I would recommend everyone to take this tour when visiting Miami.

Our tour guide Nick was amazing. He ensured the trip was filled with local stops, which I appreciated because those are not always advertised. The food on all the stops were great and it was enough food for everyone. They do try to make accommodations for food allergies. Very worth the trip :)

About

Miami Food Tours

Miami Food Tours started in 2010, becoming the first Miami culinary tour company with the goal to turn Miami’s visitors into South Beach locals by introducing them to the best of the local cuisine through a selection of the locals’ favorite cafes and restaurants.

We began our research by tasting our way through our own city—fueling up on Cuban coffees, relaxing in SoBe’s European bistros, tasting our way through Miami’s Latin cafes and sharing laughs over plenty of ice cream. We listened to stories of the movers-and-shakers of Miami Beach, had lunch with the local business owners and hung out in the music and entertainment venues of South Beach.

Finally we found the freshest Ceviche, sipped on the best Cortadito and discovered probably the best ice cream in the world. When you join us on a Miami Food Tour, we bring you all of these and more on the city’s finest culinary walking tour—the SoBe Tour des Forks.

From international vacationers to local Miami residents, everybody is sure to discover something new. Whether it’s an architectural gem, a dramatic story from the past or a delicious new dish, you’ll be sure to find your own takeaway.

Our local, passionate tour guides are delighted to share the culinary discoveries, dramatic tales from the past and architectural observations with our guests. We suggest that you take your tour in the beginning of your stay because we will tantalize your taste buds and open your eyes to a whole new side of Miami that we’re sure you’ll want to keep exploring!
