| Our tour guide, Jim, was extremely knowledgeable and amiable. It was an insider's tour to a foreign culture given in a very relaxed way. The tour stops included a wide variety of diversions covering culinary experiences from sweet to salty and from indulgences to medicinal remedies. By far the most informative and entertaining tour I've experienced. |

| Althought the tour itself and the guide were truly excellent, I found Chinatown to be unwelcoming. While we were on tour with Jim and receiving a thorough history and "tasting" of Chinatown which were delightful and well researched... off tour my friend and I received very unwelcoming response from shopkeepers. We ventured back to the locations we had just been well received in with Jim to realize we were not quite welcome on our own. My response from the locals is not at all a reflection on the tour or the tour company. I would give the tour a grade letter of "A" but the location would be graded a "C". |

| Enjoyed the tour. Jim was so very knowledgeable. The dim sum was great. After the tour my friend and I went back to some of the stores we visited with Jim on our tour. We were not well received. The same people we saw with Jim were not courteous at all and acted liked they didn't know what we were asking for. The Silky Way and the Herb Shop were the two shops. I will never go back to Chinatown for that reason. The tour is a great take for anyone and I would recommend the tour highly.

| We thoroughly enjoyed the Chinatown tour. The guide (Jim) was very knowledgable, articulate and friendly. I learned a ton and would highly recommend this tour to locals and tourists alike. |

| After taking the north end Italian market tour last spring I was eager to take the Chinatown market tour when I returned to Boston. Return I did, with my sister in tow this time, and we both loved it. I could tell my sister was not enthusiastic about it beforehand but once the tour started her tune changed. She said it far exceeded her expectations. Jim (our tour guide) is extremely knowledgeable, speaks fluent Chinese and has tons of anecdotal stories from his years in the restaurant business as well as living in China and Taiwan. Visits to a BBQ shop, traditional pharmacy, bakeries, antique store, grocery mart, etc. were fun filled and action packed. The time flies by and before you know it, you are having dim sum for lunch. Kudos once again for a very pleasurable experience!
P.S. Please add more of these tours! |

| This tour was fantastic. Our guide did a great job explaining not only the food/culture but the history of the area. It ended with a meal of dim sum with our guide that was delicious and enjoyable. |

| Having already been on a tour of the North End with Michelle, I had high expectations for the Chinatown tour. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our tour with Jim. We found him to be well-spoken, knowledgeable, and fun. After a short lecture about Chinese history and immmigration in Boston (and a discussion of why what most Americans consider Chinese food really isn't and how it came to be), we set off to try Chinese BBQ, visit 2 bakeries (one for sweets and one for bubble tea), a Chinese herb shop, a grocery store, and a tea/antique shop. The last stop was for dim sum...great experience and so nice to have someone to guide us through the etiquette involved. Jim was even kind enough to return to the grocery store with us to locate an unusual ingredient found in the Chinese BBQ we had sampled earlier. Make sure you bring a canvas shopping bag and a camera with you because you are going to want to take photos and do some shopping after the tour is over! We look forward to the next tour!! |

| This tour was very, VERY worthwhile!! Our guide was very familiar with Chinese food, history, and the history of Chinese food in America. We visited a variety of shops on the tour, from a pharmacy to a supermarket to eateries. We were exposed to different foods - some we'd had before and some we'd never heard of!! |
