| AFTER THE TOUR, I REALLY HAVE A MUCH BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE CHINESE FOODS, CULTURE, THE PEOPLE OF BOSTON'S CHINESE SECTION, SHOPPING FOR EXOTIC FOODS AND ORDERING DIM SUM. WE ENJOYED A SUNNY MORNING IN A VERY CONCENTRATED ETHNIC NEIGHBORHOOD.
JIM, WHO SPEAKS THE LANGUAGE, HELPED US TO FEEL PART OF THE LARGER PICTURE. WITH HIS INTERJECTION OF CHINESE WORDS, HE MADE EVERY TIDBIT A FASCINATING FOREIGN ADVENTURE; A STEP INTO A DIFFERENT WORLD. THANKS FOR THE TRIP! |

| This was a fantastic tour well worth the price of admission. Jim Brecker our tour guide was knowledgable because of his background as a chef and having lived in China. He also speaks the language so we felt like we fit right in. We learned about the history of Chinatown, sampled food and had a wonderful dim sum lunch. We were also provided with Jim's top picks of restaurants that we could try at a later date. This is a great tour and I would highly recommend it to friends and family. |

| We planned this tour because of the GREAT experience we had with the North End Tour and to become comfortable with Chinatown. Our tour guide once again, was Jim Becker. He's a gifted teacher with a special way of sharing information on such a varied, complicated culture.
His tour starts with an overview of the country and how the various areas differ in their respective cuisines. We then proceeded to several shops to sample goodies and/or to observe - such as in the herbal pharmacy. The tour ends with a Dim Sum luncheon. Jim explained the history and table etiquette of the food, which was very good. We did not like using our chop sticks for serving utensils as well as eating utensils, as everyone in our group poked around in all the food being passed.
We felt there must have been a tremendous amount of effort to get a tour like this together because our general feeling was that the people in Chinatown were indifferent. We did not feel as though they embraced our enthusiasm for their culture.
Overall the tour was worth the time and money to us. We learned a great deal.
Again, thank you to Jim Becker. |

| The Boston Chinatown Market Tour was incredible. My friends and I had such a great time learning and eating our way through Chinatown.
Jim Becker was outstanding as our guide. He gave exceptional information about places to see, shop and dine. He is both humerous and interesting. We highly recommend this tour. |

| The Chinatown tour and the guide were terrific. The mix of a knowledgeable chef who had studied in China (and spoke the language) was great. I highly recommend the tour. After the dim sum I went back to the Chinese supermarket and bought a number of items to try at home. |

| My husband and I toured Chinatown with some good friends. We loved the tour- Jim was great at sharing his thorough knowledge of Chinatown- from many angles- the settling of Chinatown, comparisons with other US Chinatowns, different regions of China and their cuisines, the best sources of Chinese ingredients, the best restaurants in Chinatown, do's and don'ts when eating with chopsticks, and a fabulous dim sum meal to top it off. It was a great outing and one I enthusiastically endorse! |

| This is a "must do" tour. It is fun, informative and full of food for all you "foodies". Jim was interesting and very knowledgeable about the history of China Town and about all varieties of Asian food and the best places to eat or shop for it. The area is small so walking was fine even for those of us who are couch potatoes. I highly recommend this tour and am thinking of doing it again with my husband. |
