| The Boston Chinatown Market Tour was incredible. My friends and I had such a great time learning and eating our way through Chinatown.
Jim Becker was outstanding as our guide. He gave exceptional information about places to see, shop and dine. He is both humerous and interesting. We highly recommend this tour. |

| The tour was hosted by Jim, the same host that also did the Italian North End Tour that we took last year. He is just the best -- he speaks the language of the locals as well as filled us full of the history of the Chinese settlement in the Boston area. He took us to every location mentioned on the tour outline, the bakery, the candy store, an antique store, herb store and grocery store (explaining at each location significant information regarding items that were available and how they were used and/or tasted). Then the final stop for a dim sum lunch. The hours passed quickly.
We returned the next day to the same restaurant for dim sum, went to the herb store and purchased three items that he pointed out and also visited another store he recommended we take a look at that was not on the tour - Vessel's.
You will not be disappointed selecting this tour. It is totally worth the $$ spent. |

| I have already recommended the Chinatown tour to several of my Boston friends. My husband and I took two of our teenage grandchildren on the tour and they said it was one of two highlights of the week. Our tour guide, Jim, was an educator, chef and historian. We have also taken the Chinatown tour in San Francisco and the Boston tour is different, but equal in information and interest. We will be back. |

| Jim was prompt in starting and keeping on schedule. His knowledge of Chinese language, culture and food was exceptional. The different shops and C-Mart included on the tour were most interesting and fascinating. My wife and I most enjoyed the lunch very much, it was so different from our idea of a "Chinese Restaurant". Having a group of just 8 was an ideal size. We have already recommended this tour to several of our friends. Mary and Dave |

| Enjoyed the tour. Jim was so very knowledgeable. The dim sum was great. After the tour my friend and I went back to some of the stores we visited with Jim on our tour. We were not well received. The same people we saw with Jim were not courteous at all and acted liked they didn't know what we were asking for. The Silky Way and the Herb Shop were the two shops. I will never go back to Chinatown for that reason. The tour is a great take for anyone and I would recommend the tour highly.

| Tour guide was very familiar with the language and the culture. We became familiar with a variety of shops and customs of the Chinese people.
The tour was well thought out and very organized.
The weather was not accommodating but that did not take away from the positive experience. |

| Having taken the wonderful North End Market Tour several years ago, we looked forward to this Market Tour of Chinatown and were not disappointed. Jim, the leader, is informative about food, Chinese history and language, and this area specifically. The shops chosen are both unique to Chinatown and traditional in products. The highlight is the dim sum lunch. We knew nothing about these wonderful dishes (other than Chinese buffets at a hometown restaurant) and would have had no idea of how to order them or even find a restaurant specializing in them. Absolutely great! Attitude is everything: be prepared to have the opportunity to taste unusual and unexpected things....it's worth it! |

| This was an event my wife and I had been talking about for years. So much so, that my daughter gave me gift certificates to this tour for my birthday. Our Tour Guide was excellent and extremely well-qualified for this event. We visited various restaurants and pastry shops as well as unique gift shops and even an herbal pharmacy. Interesting history of the culture and locale was pleasantly sprinkled in along the way.
Of course, other individuals on the tour can make the going much more satisfying. We had such a fine group.
I wish we had visited other shops such as Jewelry, Porcelain, Wood and Gadget Shops.
It was a GREAT excursion and we next want to attend the North End Tour. Looking forward to meeting Michele there.
And yes, we will again take the Chinatown Tour. |
