HIDDEN GEMS OF THE NE TOLD BY INTERESTING GUIDE

I thought the tour was great. Relatives were here for Thanksgiving and we have all seen the standard sites, multiple times. Learned about a living in the North End, not visiting there. Would definitely go back to some of the stores!

North End Culinary Tour is Terrific!

Beth is a knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. We passed many stores we have walked by for years, but on the tour, we entered these shops and entered a new world. It was exciting and fun. We learned about North End history and a great deal about ingredients and cooking. We had a great deal of fun, will return to shop at these stores and highly recommend this experience. Stan

I was going to write to share how much we (my 2 sisters and I) enjoyed the tour. The tour guide on Sat. Nov. 22nd 10 AM tour, I think her name was Judy was wonderul. She was very knolwledgeable, enthuastic, and articulate. She was a great guide and make it most enjoyable. She involved everyone. She also went out of her way to make my sister, whose birthday it was, feel special by arranging for a cake for her as well as offering the samples we tried to her first. Each stop was interesting and different. The information shared during the walk was also very informative. One really learned alot about the North End as well as how the culture of that area evolved. We truly had a live, mini history lesson. I had planned e mail you to share what a wonderful guide you have in Judy. She surely represents your company well and does an outstanding job. People like her should be recognized for exceeding expectations. You ,as her employer, need to hear this feedback. Janet S. Eagan

Jim was FANTASTIC!

My daughter and I, foodies both, decided to take the North End Food Tour, and we both loved it. Our host was Jim, a former chef, and he had marvelous insider info, so we learned a great deal about the food cultures, shops and restaurants of the North End, plus lots of great food info, like how to tell a boy eggplant from a girl eggplant, and why one is a smarter purchase than the other! We only took the tour three days ago, but due to our after-tour shopping, I've already served several meals from ingedients or recipes he recommended. The success of this tour is dependent upon an enthusiaistic and knowledgeable tour guide, and Jim was both! When my daughter comes to visit again, we will take the Chinatown tour for sure.

We had a great time and Beth was terrific. I would definitely recommend it to friends who like to cook and who haven't walked around the North End in a while. It was fun.

Heartily recommend this tour.

The tour was nicely paced with a good mix of local interest/history interspersed with the lessons of Italian cuisine. Jim was a fabulous guide. Even though he must have done this tour a million times, there was nothing rote his presentation. He was just warm, friendly, and knowledgable. The food samples were wonderful. What better compliment than to say that I have been applying the information learned in the tour since I came home. Thanksgiving is a test to see if we all avoid (don't know how to spell it) agita, now that we know all the ways to avoid it and/or the foods to alleviate it. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon. I'll look forward to the Chinatown tour on the next visit.

I was a little concerned when the tour started but 3 hours flew by with lots of laughs, wonderful information and delicious tastes of Italy. Well worth the money. Our guide (so sorry I can't remember her name) was a joy full of knowledge and enthusiasm. Her love of the North End was unmistakable.
