North End Market Tour

Then this tour should definitely be on your to-do list when you visit Boston. My husband (who may have initally preferred a visit to Fenway more), thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was like stepping into an episode of the Travel Channel. Our guide/host was extremely knowledgeable about both the North End and Italy. We learned so much (thank goodness for the hand-outs, no way we could keep everything we learned in those 3 hours in our heads!). We both highly recommend this tour. To reference other reviews, no, you're not going to be full after this tour. It's not about food for your stomach, rather food for your mind and soul. We're looking forward to a return trip to try the Chinatown tour next (and maybe Fenway too, I guess I owe him :)

We learned about the Italian culture and learned about many different types of foods. The three hours went by so fast.

Not once during the 3 hour tour did I think it was dragging on too long. As a matter of fact, I wish the tour would have continued to wind up and down the streets, in and out of shops, and through the hidden gems of the North End. Visiting Little Italy's best groceries and shops and sampling some of Italy's finest in Boston was more than I expected and also quite delicious. The tour completely exceeded my expectations and I am basically forcing my whole family to go after my delightful experience. I am sure that I will be a more frequent visitor of the North End from now on, and of course, I recommend the tour wholeheartedly.

These two tickets were given to us as a gift for Christmas. Perfect gift idea! We drove down from Manchester, NH and had a wonderful time. Michele was our guide and we loved her. The tour goes on rain or shine. We booked according to the weather forecast and we enjoyed this tour completely.

This tour was a lot of fun. The tour guide, Michelle, was perfect as a tour operator. She was friendly, knowledgable and had an interesting presentation. All of the shops were well chosen and everyone in them was as friendly as could be. The samples were good and a good mix. I actually learned a lot and my daughter, who is just starting to be a good cook, thought it very helpful as well. I would recommend this tour to anyone, whether you were into cooking or not.

My husband, college age daughter and I think Michele Topor's North End Market Tour is the best vacation "extra" we've ever done. Well worth doing again and recommending to friends! Michele's knowledge of Italian food, the history of the North End and her entertaining personality added to a great Boston getaway.

Great and personable guide! Just enough info and not rambling. Obviously knows his topic well. Newly living in the North End, we'll be able to use all the valuable information again and thoroughly enjoyed all the "visits".

We really enjoyed listening to the history of Little Italy. This tour does not provide large samples rather it gives you numerous samples of the foods of Italy. Our tour guide provided input from Italy and how the Italians settled in Boston and made a way of life in the US. We highly recommend this tour.

The group had a wonderful time. We are talking about doing it again next year. A few of the women have recommended it to their friends. This is my second time and I would certainly do it again. The tour guide was wonderful, knowledgeable and a lot of fun to be with. All in all, GREAT
