My husband, college age daughter and I think Michele Topor's North End Market Tour is the best vacation "extra" we've ever done. Well worth doing again and recommending to friends!
Michele's knowledge of Italian food, the history of the North End and her entertaining personality added to a great Boston getaway. |

Great and personable guide! Just enough info and not rambling. Obviously knows his topic well.
Newly living in the North End, we'll be able to use all the valuable information again and thoroughly enjoyed all the "visits". |

We really enjoyed listening to the history of Little Italy. This tour does not provide large samples rather it gives you numerous samples of the foods of Italy. Our tour guide provided input from Italy and how the Italians settled in Boston and made a way of life in the US. We highly recommend this tour. |

The group had a wonderful time. We are talking about doing it again next year. A
few of the women have recommended it to their friends. This is my second time and
I would certainly do it again. The tour guide was wonderful, knowledgeable and a
lot of fun to be with. All in all, GREAT |

What an exhilerating experience! Jim, our guide, has wonderful in depth knowledge about the North End and Italian histories, the true Italian cuisine and wines, and numerous insider tips on shopping, and where and why. I learned more in 3 hours than in any other class I've taken. My friend who also attended the tour has lived in Boston her whole life and cooked Italian and she raved about this tour! |

Just the right amount of historical facts. Our guide, Jim (I think is his name) who was a chef added an element to the food side of things. The tour was much more than anticipated. The parking suggestions were the best. Everyone in my group was thrilled with the tour and our guide as well. The handouts provided were helpful for shopping later and were very informative. You're doing a good job. Thanks.
Unless I missed it, It would be helpful to specify where the fire station and library were so we didn't need to ask around. We had passed the fire station one block over on the way to Cross St. and then needed to walk all the way back quickly to go potty before the tour. Had we know the location we could have gone on the way up to Cross.
Also, we wanted to give Jim a tip but there was nothing in the paperwork about tipping so we were at a loss as to what to do. You should speak to that in the downloaded paperwork so there would be no question. We are sending Jim a tip in the mail.

Michelle appeared to be as enthusiastic about what she does today as when she started out with her business 13 years ago. She was so informative about the history of the North End as well as a culinary wizzard. She presented her culinary skills with charm and made the material unintimidating. We live about an hour away and will make the North End a destination now that we have the lay of the land.
We have reccomended the tour to all our friends!!!! |

I had never been to the North End, I knew nothing about Italian cooking and and I am not a cook and I still had a great time. It's a different perspective on a neighbourhood than you would usually get as a tourist. It makes me very curious about Italy and other Italian areas closer to home. |

I was excited about the tour, but it far exceeded my expectations. The information, history, Michele's enthusiasm and the vendors at each of the tour stops were just amazing. I would recommend this tour wholeheartedly to anyone that is visiting Little Italy. |
