Let me start by saying that I took a lot of notes and learned a ton about food quality. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I'm looking forward to compiling all my notes and sharing it with family and friends. The downfall of this tour is....it's not as good as the New York food tours and that's the type of tour we were expecting. In New York, the guide is more personable and excited to be there. And, in New York, you leave the tour FULL!! The tastings are plentiful and amazing! In this tour, there was more talking and less eating. The samples are small and sparse. We also stood for the majority of the 3 hour tour. Too much standing. Overall, it was memorable and I learned a great deal about food on the North end. I'm not sure I would take this tour again (atleast I know my husband wouldn't). |

This tour was highly recommended by some local friends. I took my future daughter-in-law and her sister. After an hour, we vowed to come back with a larger family group and take the tour again. It was fascinating, fun and chock full of interesting information. The tastings were great and were in the context of what we were learning. I intend to include this tour whenever we have out of town visitors who want to tour Boston. |

My parents and I thought the tour was fascinating, fun, and the food along the way was delicious! We've been talking about the food facts and North End history we learned on the tour ever since. |

We loved the tour! Jim was full of useful information and we learned so much about Italian food. We went into shops that we probably never would have stopped into just being tourists, and that gave us more of a feel for what living in the North End is like. A nice change of pace after seeing the historic sites. Wish this tour had been available on our first day in Boston instead of our last. |

We were able to take advantage of all of Jim's expertise and all that those small shops had to offer because there were four of us. I cannot imagine having done that tour with 15. It was fabulous and my daughter and I learned an amazing amount of information in that three hours. The handouts were very well done and are continuing to help us with our cooking at home. I will tell all my friends about this and my son who lives in Boston as well. |

We would highly recommend this tour. We had a great tour guide who was well informed on the history of the area. We learned things that we never knew and we are locals. We learned more about the foods and ingredients and the most authentic Restaurants and Stores. We have a new appreciation for The North End and are more apt to visit all of the new found restaurants and shops. |

Even though we have been to the North End many times, we were taken to places that we never knew existed! Our tour guide, Beth, was fantastic. She was a wealth of knowledge that she enthusiastically shared with the group. When I returned to work on Monday, I recommended this tour to all of my coworkers. Now I can't wait to travel to Italy! |
