Started coming to Boston some six years ago when my daughter stared college. We've passed by many of these places for years not knowing anything about the stores, etc. Should have gone on the tour six years ago. We will definately go on the Chinatown tour. |

It was a great tour, we enjoyed it tremendously. We toured with a couple of adult children. Michelle was genuinely enthusiastic and incredibly informative. She provided wonderful detail, including much history of the neigborhood and rich culture. The culinary information was as practical as it was facinating. We would recommend this to any visitor to Boston. |

This tour provided many answers to questions I have had for years and which I have never found adequately addressed in even the most thorough Italian cookbooks. My son, who is a new resident of Boston, will now be able to avail himself of products and knowledge which would be lost on the casual tourist. |

Our North End tour guide, Dick, was able to keep our group of 14 entertained for three hours but foremost was his ability to present the North End from a very knowledgeable perspective and background. Did the 1:00PM tour and finished just in time for an early dinner at one of the many restaurants we passed by during the four block tour. We should have taken the tour and redeemed our gift certificates sooner with the flawless process through Zerve. |

We had a wonderful experience. Everything about the tour was great: our guide (loved that he had so much knowledge being a former chef), the pace, the sites we visited, the cultural history of the North End beyond the Italian history and the food history (what is Northern, Southern and American Italian food).
We had a great time and have already recommended it to a number of people back in Maine. We look forward to doing the China Town tour someday soon!
Thank you |

My husband and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn a little history about the North End and authentic Italian ingredients. I don't know that I would call it a walking "cooking" class because we did not cook anything but rather sampled ingredients along the way and were given ideas on how to cook with those ingredients. Our guide, Richard (Dick) was a delight! We left the tour feeling like we actually knew a lot about the North End. The tour is an authentic and concrete experience of a very special part of Boston. I would suggest wearing very comfortable shoes. Three hours is a long time with very little sitting, except for at the beginning of the tour. In addition, some of the streets and sidewalks most definitely date back to the 1800's.... your feet do tend to get a little weary! But oh so worth it! Don't forget to make your reservation at one of the wonderful restaurants in North End. We went to Fiore and loved it! We hear they are all great though! I wouldn't miss this one if you are a lover of food. Or, if you simply want an experience that will make you a part of North End. Bottom line... North End history combined with experiencing Italy through your sight, smell, touch and taste. |

Very enjoyable 3 hour Italian tour of Boston North end. The Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. The only recommendation that I would have is having more tasting of samples or larger quantities for the price that is charged. |

The guide was very knowledgeable and nice but the amount of food we actually got to taste was tiny!!! There was not sufficient room to stand in the stores that were part of the tour and it was uncomfortable. No coffee to taste at the coffee shop but dried chick peas instead? At the pastry shop the pieces were so small and on a tiny napkin? Not very nice. I have been on food tours in Chicago, Seattle and San Francisco and all of those had so much food to taste that we were full after. i wouldn't recommend this tour at all. |
