My husband and I can't stop raving about this tour! We learned so much about the history of the North End, Italian food, and even specifics about the foods we eat every day. This tour is better than any other food tour we've taken because you get to try several foods at each stop. We HIGHLY recommend it!

I had the opportunity to squeeze in a tour on a recent business trip, and am so glad that I did! I plan to travel back to the Boston area so that I can more fully explore the North End now that I received such a great introduction to the area. Ciao!

Our guide Beth was absolutely wonderful! Her knowledge of Italian culture, lifestyle and food was truly amazing. We did not want the tour to end. You will feel like someone dropped you right into Italy while listening to her stories and the history of the North End.

Great tour of spots outside of Hanover Street

Our tour guide was of Italian descent and he knew the names and families of each store he took us through. He was a former pastry chef and his love of the neighborhood and food really came out in his tour. I came away with the names of a few very cool shops that I will definitely go back to... it's nice to get off the hussle and bustle of Hanover Street and see where the locals eat and shop.

This tour made me feel like I was in Little Italy back in the 50's. The shop keepers were friendly and knew all of their customers. The shops looked like a shop you might find in a small town in Italy. The products were all fresh and in some cases just flown in from Italy. The tour guide was knowledgeable about Italian cuisine as well as culture. She knew all the shop owners and was very respectful of the food/products as well as the customers in the store. You better put on your walking shoes and not drink too much because there really are no bathrooms on this three hour tour! The food quality was high, we went back after the tour and bought some fresh teas, meat and cheese (you cannot purchase items while on the tour). It was a great way to get to know the North End geographically and culturally. I highly recommend this tour!

We really enjoyed our tour. Jim provided a fantastic tour of the local area, providing a good balance between local history and the food and wine. We can't wait to come back to Boston to do the Chinatown tour and would definitely do the North End tour again. A&A, The UK

Tour Guide was very knowledgable

The tour guide was very knowledgable with Italian cuisine, Italian culture, and history of the North End. She showed the group the hidden treasures of the North End and took away from the main stream commercial stopping spots like Mike's Pastries and Modern Day Pastery (no offense). I believe she explained it best by looking past Hanover street and exploring the riches the North End has to offer by taking side streets. Great tour and I highly recommend it to anyone.

It was very informative and well organized. Samples were great, liked the list of recommended restaurants and shop descriptions. Loved the North End neighborhood and can't wait to go back there next year. Maybe we'll do the Chinatown tour next time!

This tour of the North End was a lot of fun and educational as well. It was well worth the price and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different to do. We did the morning tour and that seems like the better way to go. The shops got much more crowded as the day went on.
