| My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to do something different. This tour was highly recommended to us from a friend.
We had an AWESOME time!!!!
We haven't stopped raving about it since last Friday!
Michele was extremely knowledgeable about the culture, history and culinary delights of the North End! We learned so much in 3 hrs--information that we will use for many years to come.
It made our anniversary one we will never forget!!
Thanks Michele!!! |

| Michele did a wonderful job. She is a wealth of information both entertaining and informative on Italian food, culture and the country itself. My husband and I look forward to food tours whenever we can find them and this one did not fail to impress us. We really had a good time and thought the group size (14) was perfect. I know a lot about food but really learned a lot from Michele about the reason Italians eat in the order they do and all to achieve proper digestion. Very Interesting and I plan to bring some of these practices into my own home. |

| Michele Topor 's culinary tour of the North End brings the history of the area to life, highlighting all that is now Italian there - the people, the tiny specialty shops, the quality of the pastries, cheeses, meats, olive oil, vinegars and spices, coffee, wine, and more. Not only that, it is so much fun to meet the shop owners and see how proud they are of their products, and how Michele enjoys interacting with them. ..and the food and pastry samples! yum!. My group wrapped up the day with lunch at one of the restaurants Michele recommended. We were not disappointed!
Thank you, Michele, for a great day ( even if it did rain!) |

| Ms. Topor was the reason for the success of this tour. She was gracious, very knowledgeable about the history of the North End and all the foods, herbs, vegetables, restaurants, delis and much more!! We had a great time and I already recommended this tour to friends and relatives. |

| Our guide, Jim Becker, is an encyclopedia of food knowledge! He gave a great historical overview of the neighborhood before we started and as we walked. The stops he arranged at an authentic pastry shop, a local green grocer, a salumeria, a wine shop, a spice store, were all fantastic. We had delicious samples all along the way and I learned interesting and very useful facts about Italian ingredients and how to shop for them. Most helpful of all, was the information about olive oil and balsamic vinegar - expensive items that can be intimidating to shop for. After the three fun-packed hours with Jim, I now know what to look for and how to get the best ingredients for the best value. I left the tour with a big smile on my face! I can't wait to go back for the Chinatown tour! |

| I really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very imformative and nice.
Italian food is my favorite and I have been to Italy several times so the information I learned was very valuable. I also was happy to learn quite a bit of history. My husband was little less enthused, that is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. He enjoyed much of the tour and found some things interesting but also felt that there was a little more talking than he would have liked. FYI for men who are just not that into Italian food.
The tastings were just that, tiny samples, which we were totally prepared for from reading other reviews. But this was a good thing because later I returned to several of the shops and purchased many items to take home. (Which my husband thoroughly enjoyed.) Maria's pastry shop packed my sweets very well and they made the 3hr flight home intact, in my suitcase. My family ate everything up in 3 days. The produce I purchased was consumed prior to us leaving Boston. I bought some spices and plan on ordering other items from other shops websites. This is very important to me because in the part of the country I live, these items are impossible to find.
Besides shopping, after the tour we picked a restaurant for lunch with the help of our tour. Our lunch was fabulous. I hope more cities provide such tours, this is very unique and enjoyable. |

| As a Boston native, I love the North End, but I never knew its history. I also love to cook, and I loved all of the opportunities to learn about Italian cuisine while on the tour. We had a great time! |

| This was a great afternoon activity. After spending much time in the North End this tour provided me with knowledge I did not previously have. The stops along the way were entertaining and the guide was knowledgeable and engaging. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to get a little information about the North End. |
