We had a great guide who was entertaining and knowledgeable. We randomly picked the 9a tour and so glad we did given the crowds that were forming around noon. The tour could be a little shorter with a meal/drink stop at the end but there is definitely plenty to see!! |

A great introduction to the North End. You get a real taste of the neighborhood with a bakery, vegetable shop, a meat and cheese shop, a grocery. Foods you may not have even heard of and probably never seen. This is my first in Boston and my third Zerve tour (two in Chicago). They are all different, but they all involve food and have great, friendly, knowledgeable tour guides. Thanks Chris. |

This is the second time i have taken this tour. The first time, several years ago, was with Michelle. I enjoyed the tour and learned some new things this time but, a few years ago i did the Seattle Pike Place Market tour, also purchased through Zerve. That was a phenomenal food tour and has become the gold standard against which i judge all other culinary tours. |

I cannot rate this tour highly enough. We were a group of family, including adult children and partners so there were young and old. The guide, Jim, was so interesting and informative and a lovely man. The samples were yummy and we all finished the tour having fallen in love with "Little Italy" and a lot wiser about the purchasing and cooking of Italian food. We were only sorry we didn't have time to do the Chinatown tour. Still something to look forward to next time. |

Our guide Jim, a former chef, was extremely knowledgeable. The tour was the highlight of our visit to Boston. I highly recommend it! |

I loved hearing the history of the North End and touring the various markets and shops. It helped to get the restaurant and other recommendations from Michelle as well. And, I loved the fact that I got to taste along the way! Do this at the beginning of your trip, so you can have fun shopping and visiting the restaurants you learn about on the tour. And, allow time at the end to go back and shop. |

Were given lots of information about Italian cuisine and ingredients, history of the different ethnic groups that have lived in the North End. Most shops were small, crowded. Lots of standing in each shop - that got tiring. Actual walking distance was not great. Appreciated the opportunity to sample different products from the shops. |

We went on the tour with our 2 kids ages 11 & 13 who are foodies in training and they loved it.. There was enough interesting history and information and enough food tasting to make the day wonderful.
Our tour guide was fun and interesting and kept everyones attention..
I especially loved the story about the "Tongue of mother in law " pasta.
The kids really liked it too. Great tips on what is real "Balsamic Vinegar" and great olive oil tasting.. We all went back to Maria's Bakery and loaded up on tasty treats..
Thank you so much.. I would highly recommend it!!!!
next time we will do Chinatown.... |

It was a very fun and factual 3 hours around the North End. Our guide really "knew her stuff" and gave us lots of interesting info. We sampled at each stop and most of us made our way back to the bakery for treats to take home. |

What a wonderful way to experience the North End. Our guide was knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhood as well as the culinary gems & resources in the area. He was entertaining and knew how to pace the tour with just the right balance of walking and resting in quaint parks. Sampling tasty treats from the various shops was a bonus. We would HIGHLY reccommend this experience! |
