Our guide was Jim who is a chef, and I think that fact greatly enhanced our tour.
He knew EVERYTHING about food. Also, there were only six people and that made it
more intimate.
Great afternoon! |

For young and old "Foodies", a leisurly tour to all the hidden finds of Boston's "Little Italy". History, folklore, secrets and food finds of one of the last remnants of shop cuture in the U.S. One of the more pricey of the tours we went on that week and WORTH EVERY PENNY! |

I would recommend the tour for a large group from outside the area, but it was not worth it for my boyfriend and I (who are 22 and who are local). Our guide was passionate about the North End and about Italian food, but since I am someone who does not do much Italian cooking (and would not spend $20+ on olive oil), his tips were lost on me. |

I enjoyed the walk from shop to shop through the district. I felt I gained a better understanding of the entire neighbourhood and the people that lived in it.
The only downside was that it rained all morning, but this did not stop us from having a great time.
Our guide was first class. Very knowledgable, very charismatic, very funny. In short he was superb, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.
Many thanks

For my parents & myself, it was a history lesson, food tasting of our heritage and a lot of fun. A real connection to the stores used by the Italian people who live there.
The candy store brought back special memories for my Dad of his Grandmother.
The bakery was a treat as were all the others. We feel like we know the Italian North End better now. |

The tour covered the best the North End has to offer, and from a knowledgable, "insider" perspective, which is rare. It seemed like we learned less about the area and Italian cooking than we did about our guide's life. The length of the tour was perfect, and was an excellent launching point for an afternoon in the North End, eating what we had just drooled over! |

Our tour of the North End was enjoyed by all three members of our group! Our
tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The pace of the tour was perfect, we did not feel rushed and the treats at each stop were memorable.
I would highly recommend this tour for tourists as well as locals as our group grew up 4 miles north of Boston and yet we learned so much about the North End. Each of us would return to the area on our own with much confidence. |

The guy that did the tour was very engaging. We all learned a lot about the italian/italian american culture. I had the tour recommended to me by a friend and have already passed on the recommendation to other friends and my parents will recommend it to english friends who visit Boston. |

Both my husband and I enjoyed this tour. We thought it was money well spent and felt that we were exposed to some foods that we would never have tried on our own. |

I had taken this tour ten years ago with Michelle Topor .I wanted to go again although I felt uncertain without Michelle leading the group.Jim,the new guide, was just wonderfully informative and fun to spend the afternoon with. Both my friend and I loved it! My friend said it seemed more like a great "seminar" than a tour!!!Bravo,Jim! |
