This is the best food tour I've ever taken. I attended with my husband and college aged daughter. It was recommended to me by my neighbor in Phoenix, AZ. I plan to bring friends in the future and take the same tour again. The tour guide, Jim, was a wonderful host. He was very accomodating with our special needs for a tour just before Easter weekend when they are typically closed as well as with a fold up chair for my husband who had recently had foot surgery. A wonderful experience! |

We really enjoyed our guide and the history of italien food and the North End. We learned a lot and also liked the "tasting" part. Our family has taken food tours in other cities and really enjoyed them. Keep in mind that small children may not enjoy this due to the walking involved. I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn about a particular area. |

I took this food tour with my husband and some friends and came away wishing it would have never ended. I have been on food tours throughout the country and I would have to rank this at the top of my list. Not only was the neighborhood charming and delightful, the food delicious, the information engaging, but our guide was simply wonderful. I am a teacher and as I enjoyed his delivery, I could not help but be impressed by his style, knowledge base, and his ability to teach in a way that kept everyone glued to his message. I cannot recommend this tour enough and can not imagine anyone walking away with anything but delight. |

My husband and I took the North End Market Tour to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We had a great time! Jim was an expert guide and very entertaining. We learned a lot and snacked our way through the neighborhood. This tour would be a great date night, night out with friends, or gift for someone who enjoys cooking. |

This past weekend one of my oldest friends came to visit, while frantically searching for activities I stumbled upon Michele's tour. I am SO happy I did. Before I purchased I read the reviews, which were all amazing, shortly after the tour started I understood why. Michele is so friendly and eager to teach about the Northend and food in general. She was very knowledgeable and just a blast to be around. We really enjoyed all of the places Michele took us and everyone was very nice. I HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone; both tourist and locals. |

My husband and I try to do something fun and different each time we visit Boston. We heard about the North End Market Tour and decided to join in on the fun and learn about the background of the Italian North End. We were so glad we did. Our guide, Beth, was very knowledgable of the culture, background of the stores and neighborhood, and was able to provide our group with facts and tips that you would not get by just walking through the streets of the North End. We have been there several times in the past, but after going on the tour and listening and getting the tips about places you normally would pass by, we found the area much more enjoyable to visit. We stopped at Maria's 3 times, to purchase her beautiful and delicious authentic Italian baked goodies for our ride home and to share with our family. We were not disappointed! If in doubt about purchasing tickets, don't be. It was well worth the money. If you enjoy Italian culture, food, and cooking, take the time (3hrs) and visit the North End. |

We had ben a bit worried that the tour would be too long. But the time flew by. The guide was fascinating. I would definitely recommend the tour to my friends and family. |

The first time we took the tour was off the cruise ship "NCL DAWN". We loved it so much we decided to book the tour again. Would love to come back and do the Chinatown Tour. We would highly recommend it to anyone. Our guide was very informative. We went home with a treasure of information about the North End. |

My wife and I had a great time. We're both originally from Boston and very familiar with the North End but this was a whole new perspective. It was very interesting to stop into stores we never considered entering before. And while we were very familiar with the foods/ingredients discussed, we learned so much more about how to use, when to use, and what distinguished the best from the rest. Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and entertaining. I've recommended the tour to family, friends and co-workers. I wouldn't mind taking the tour again myself. |

We enjoyed the Market Tour from the first moment where Jim described the history of the North End to the final sample offered in a liquor store. The tour covers a lot of territory in a close-knit area, and taught us a great deal about Italian cuisine, as well as the Americanization of Italian dining.
We highly recommend this experience; you won't be disappointed.
After our tour we dined at one of the suggested restaurants, then retraced our steps through the several shops we had toured so we could purchase some of the dietary delights. Great experience! |
