North End Market Tour

Beth was very knowledgeable. A little bit of history, a little bit of culinary guidance. Gives you a nice warm up before you explore the North End in full detail. Salumeria Italiana was the highlight. Great store. Wonderful samples at places.

michelle certainly knows what she's talking about - the north end and its food and merchants. she is also a very engaging speaker - interesting and with a great sense of humor. just to show how she goes the extra mile, when i e-mailed her that these tickets were a gift for my niece's birthday, she arranged to have the bakery we visit present her with a cake. a nice surprise for all of us!

A very informative tour. I learned about great places to buy groceries and good restaurants to go to! I highly recommend this tour if you're looking to learn a little more about the North End and good restaurants to eat at, other than the better known ones.

This was an outstanding tour and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. Our guide was terrific and shared a great deal of interesting history about the area as well as fabulous information about Italian cooking ingredients.

As an Italian-American I really enjoyed hearing about the history of the Italians in the North End and the opportunity to visit and experience the local eateries/shops. It was a very unique tour and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. I would strongly recommend it to Bostonians and tourists alike!

The tour guide was very knowledgable with Italian cuisine, Italian culture, and history of the North End. She showed the group the hidden treasures of the North End and took away from the main stream commercial stopping spots like Mike's Pastries and Modern Day Pastery (no offense). I believe she explained it best by looking past Hanover street and exploring the riches the North End has to offer by taking side streets. Great tour and I highly recommend it to anyone.

I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of knowledge I gained about the everyday foods we buy and eat from our local grocery stores. The tour and guide were both great. I would recommend this tour to both locals and tourists.

We had a wonderful tour with Al. He knew so much about, food, cultural background of the North End and many other misc. facts. It was one of the best tour I had even taken. The food was good, although it was just a sampling.

My husband and I went on this tour and we loved it. Lots and lots of great information about Italian food. Just enough food samples to keep us satisfied, but didn't ruin our lunch. We highly recommend!
