| We really enjoyed the North End Market Tour. We got a good look at the neighborhood and learned a lot about the neighborhood's history, the culinary traditions of the people who have lived there, and some tips on picking out and using certain ingredients that are relevant today. |

| Despite copious rain, our tour guide Jim did a very informative and entertaining job with our group. The emphasis of the tour was information rather than sampling. That information was unique and complete with plenty of background and side facts. The selection of sites included an authentic bakery, an awesome grocery store full of unexpected items, a complete wine shop, a genuine deli and a vegetable market.. I would support the advice to start the tour with a little sustenance. It would be a good idea to rest up also, since there is a lot of standing over the 3 hours. By the time the tour is over you will be ready to dine more completely. The recommended restaurant was one of the best we have ever dined in and that includes plenty in Italy. Overall I have recommended it to all our New England friends we have seen since the tour. I came away with confidence that I had seen the genuine and real Little Italy rather than a tourist's view/ |

| Our tour guide, Jim, was a wealth of knowledge about the area's history and more importantly, the origins and influences of the food being served up today. We really enjoyed the focus on ingredients and the artisanal processes involved. My only input on making the tour even better might be to incorporate a glimpse into one of the restaurant's kitchens in some way. We loved everything about the event, and look forward to joining Jim for a Chinatown tour on our next trip to Boston. |

| Dick Miele (or is it Meal!) gave a wonderful tour, packed with interesting history and information, as well as funny banter with some of the locals. He was thorough and friendly and he moved the tour along, without making us feel rushed.
As a culinary professional who took the tour with another chef friend, I felt I learned a lot about Italian food, local and Italian history and culinary history. The vendors were all so accommodating and nice.
My friend expressed the same sentiments I have.
We hardly even noticed the rain!
I'll be back for other tours and will highly recommend to others.
Thank you! |

| This is the second time that I've attended the Market Tour. The first was a gift from my children. This time it was a gift to a friend.
The weather was gray and rainy but that did not dampen our spirits.
We enjoyed the neighborhood sights, sounds and architecture.
Dick, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and his enthusiasm for the foods and cultures of the North End was inspiring.
The friendly, welcoming shopkeepers, the food samplings and the aromas from the shops all enhanced our North End Market Tour experience. |

| Although we live in the South End of Boston we had not familiarized ourselves with the restaurants and purveyors of food in the North End. We are very enthusiastic about returning to take advantage of the shopping there. We far prefer access to a green grocer - a bakery - a fish market - a delicatessen - a cheese store - than to supermarkets, no matter how acceptable the quality.
After the tour we bought the ingredients for a wonderful antipasto, which was unexpectedly superior to the fine meats and cheeses we can buy in our own neighborhood. |

| We've done a tour like that in NY last year and we really tought that this one would be similar... but no. This one is more about culinary advice then a food tour... We taste very good food but not enought for 50$... In NY it cost $35-$40 and they advise us not to eat before because we try so much good place that we're not hungry anymore after this. Market tour, we first don't have the time to buy stuff, or if so, you have to do it instead listening to the tour... We we're SO hungry!!!!! Second, the guy in NY tour speak during the walk, and everybody can heard..... about the area we're passing true, the history, adress to know, stars that live there, and we taste a lot of food. Small part but at the end it was perfect. Market tour, was interesting but.... it can be better if we go true more places, less culinary advice, less time at the same place and give us the recepies on the papers that you gave us at the beginning. Also, 50$ it's a little bit expensive for little family or youngest person.... when we look at the person in the tour : 50 and over, classy, ''snob''.
Thankyou and I hope this note will be taken helpful. |

| The tour guide was great- her energy -sense of humor and enthusiam carried the AM. The places we visted were unique and very acceoting of the group. The tour is aimed at providing information re the North End its food its stores etc.- and it hit it on the head. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a love for Italy- its culture and Italian food- here in thre US |
