| Even though the weather was cold, this tour was hot! We learned so much from our guide about Italian food, culture, & history. I felt like I knew the neighborhood by the end.
I would have liked to go a few more places & been able to sample a few more things, though. |

| The tour was fantastic. As someone who lives in Boston, I learned so much about the history of the North End as well as where to buy certain items. Couldn't have been better! |

| Jim, our guide was full of fun as well as information on the North End of Boston! He gave a brief overview of the ethnic groups which occupied the area in the past and brought us up to date on the current occupants of this very special part of the city.
He made us feel as if we were a part of the community, if only for a few hours! The market owners were welcoming which encouraged us to go and shop in their stores after the tour ended.
We learned that there were "male and female" eggplants and how to select the best in your local market.....as well as what makes a "real" balsamic vinegar stand out in taste tests.
We would go on this tour again, and plan on bringing more friends along the next time! |

| Michele Topor shared her wealth of knowledge about the North End and Italian food and cooking with enthusiasm and pride. There were 8 people on the tour and it was just the right size to visit the small local stores and hear everything she had to say.
I would recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys cooking and quality food, but may not be an expert chef! |

| We were lucky enough to have Michele herself as our guide on a recent Saturday afternoon tour. As described on her website, the tour is designed as more of an informational tour than an eating tour. We were however treated to several samples including meats, cheeses, and vegetables from local establishments along the way Michele was fun and knowledgeable in guiding us through the neighborhood which carries on many of the traditions of its Italian roots. We were especially fascinated to learn all the differences between traditional Italian foods, which are highly regional, and what we are more familiar with in America which is generally Italian American. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone interested in learning more about the North End, its culture, and its food! |

| The only reason I did not give this the top score is because I wanted more! Each stop was wonderful but it would have been great to be able to buy things at each stop. I understand why you can't due to time and space constraints. I'm tempted to come back in the cold winter and hope the group is smaller so we could shop. I'd even pay more for a smaller group where that might be possible.
I went on 3/14 and we absolutely loved our guide, cudos to her!
Thanks for a great time. |

| It was a delightful three hours! Our guide, Beth, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We learned so much about authentic Italian food and culture. Each purveyor had their own specialties and we were able to sample many delicious foods.
I would certainly recommend this tour.

| This tour is great for the person really wanting to learn about true Italian cuisine. Our tour guide was a retired chef who truly knew his stuff! We learned all about different types of Italian pastries, meats, cheeses, produce, good olive oil and balsamic vinegar and lastly, liquors and wine.
Came away knowing what to buy if wanting true Italian ingredients but not where to eat good Italian food in the North End of Boston. Kinda disappointed in that one! |

| Our guide was enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable and incredibly personable!! She knew her stuff & made it fun and educational. The food tastings were fabulous and we now know many shopping and eating destinations that make the North End so special. We have already referred several people to the website so they can take part in the great fun we enjoyed last weekend! |
