We had so much fun as we followed Jim through the streets of the North End. He was an enthusiastic storyteller and quite knowledgable about Southern Italian customs, foods, and wines. The weather was great and three hours passed by quickly! |

Jim, our guide, has mastered his craft! We enjoyed every aspect of this tour and consider it one of the best things we did while in Boston! We had our anniversary dinner at a recommended restaurant (Marco) and it was out of this world! We went back to Maria's Patry Shop and spent way too much money! I hand carried everything on the plane and will be sharing with special friends!
We didn't have a chance to re-visit the spice shop or candy shop but they too, were wonderful!
Loved the inside of V. Cirace & Son, Inc...beautiful! Their selection is outstanding!
We will be ordering several things from the Salumeria Italiana Market and because of Jim's knowledge I have a whole new way of approaching many foods!
Everything we got to taste was fabulous...just can't say enough.
The walk was easy...nice and flat and the pace was just perfect!
I highly recommend this to anyone who has any interest at all in cooking, italian food, or seeing the North End of Boston.
Probably boring for kids...I would say ages16 and up would get the most enjoyment out of the tour!

Jim, our guide, was fantastic. I really respected what he said about food and drink as he, himself, is a chef!!!My husband who loves to cook took many notes!!! There was never a dull moment with Jim. Whether his light-hearted stories were true or not did NOT matter...we so enjoyed ourselves. Midway throught the tour my husband whispered to me that this was worth every dollar spent on our tickets!!!And he doesn't let go of a dollar easily. Thanks for the opportunity to be educated and have fun at the same time. |

This was such an interesting tour - basically regarding food. We stopped at a variety of shops - liquor, fruit, deli, candy. The guide was a wealth of knowledge regarding the history of the North End and had a wonderful repoire with the shopkeepers. We got to sample food in every stop. Restaurants were recommended to us. The weather was beautiful and we loved every minute of it!! |

My fiancee is of Italian origin and a very good cook. He doesn't cook gourmet but rather italial immigrant style. So he was a little less enthusiastic about taking this tour than I was. I had seen it on Billy Costa's TV program and thought it would be a fun thing to do on a saturday afternoon. We were BOTH very pleased and learned quite a few things we had never known before. Jim, our guide, made it most interesting and fun. We are frequent visitors to the north end but never shopped like the locals. Now we will make more informed choices. Thank you. |

I treated my husband to the North End tour in honor of his 40th birthday. I put a comment in my reservation noting the occasion and Michele emailed me the next day to get my husband's name. She arranged for a cake from Maria's bakery. It was a nice surprise for my husband and the entire group. The cake was scrumptious. The tour gave us valuable information as we are local but not too familiar with making our way around the North End. Now we have key destinations to go to on future trips and we intend to regularly purchase goods from most of the vendors featured. The guide, Jim, was knowledgeable, friendly and provided the commentary in a steady stream of appreciated tidbits. He was a great tour guide. The vendors, the sites, the guide, and the tour management made this a memorable way to spend a special day. Thank you. |

The North End Culinary tour was the highlight of my trip to Boston. Jim, our tour host, was great. He was obviously very knowledgeable about the North End, as well as Italian culture, history, and cuisine. We had a wonderful dinner afterwards and came back another day for lunch, and to shop for our goods to take home.
We learned some fascinating things to share with other foodies in Texas!
Thank you. |

Informative from history of Northend to the history of Balsamic. Jim was excellent and I may do again just to review what I learned. Will and look forward to Chinatown tour. THe take home material very professional and great to keep for the future shopping I plan to do in the Northend. I would enjoy working for your company to promote the tours or perhaps some other capacity. Maybe someday I will apply. Thankyou for a lovely afternoon Truly, Bonnie Latty PS I brought my girlfriend as her Birthday Gift and she would quote my feelings. |

Our tour guide was very well informed and made the history of the North End come to life. He was a great speaker and made the whole experience truly enjoyable for myself and my friend. |
