| Our guide was the best. He was very informative and had a lot of knowledge
about Italy. Being a fomer chef sure worked to his advantage We learned many
tips about Boston in general and the food. My only complaint was a little crowded |

| Having lived in the Boston area all my life and of Italian descent, I thought the tour would be mediocre at best. Boy was I surprised....I learned different things about the history of the north end and how it developed. Also, how the Italian culture changed based on the demographics of the area.
I also never realized what great local shops existed in the North End and how the quality of the products was vastly superior to local supermarkets. I know now if you want good high quality food ( cold cuts, cheeses, olive oils, liquors, pastries etc), you need to shop in the North End.
I recommend this tour strongly and I am planning on doing the Chinatwon tour next... |

| My wife and I did the tour as part of a Valentines Day in Boston and had a wonderful time. My wife and I lived about 10 minutes walk from the North End for a couple of years and I grew up learning to cook from an Italian grandmother. On top of that I am an avid FoodTV and food book nut. Even with my pretty extensive background in Italian cuisine and culture, I learned quite a bit and found several places in the North End that we hadn't discovered. I'd highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys food and learning about different cultures and their assimilation into America. Our guide was clearly very passionate about the people and the topic and made it very enjoyable for everyone in the tour. Thanks!!! |

| Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke very well. Not only did we learn about the culinary history of the North End, but we came away with useful tidbits about how to choose and use various food items. We had samples every step of the way. Delish! |

| I honestly did not know what to expect with this tour. The price seemed a little high but it was something different so we went. From the start of the tour our guide was friendly, knowledgable and professional. We were told all about the North End history and the culinary history. We met local shop owners and sampled their foods. From Italian delis to pastry shops - a culinary delight. It is a three hour tour with food samplings of all kinds. Well worth the $50 price tag. We went back to the stores after the tour and made purchases of our own. An out of the way - Must Do in Boston! |

| This was a great tour with lots of information about the history as well as all the fun of the North End. It was not all the touristy stops that you would expect to visit but much more authentic. This trip is great for people that know about Italian history, traditional Italian food, both, or none of the above. A great tour overall even if it was freezing outside! |

| This tour is fabulous! Jim provided us with history, food information, and a visit to several markets where we sampled wonderful things. The time flew by and all of our questions were answered. This tour is definitely a must for anyone interested in Italian culture and food. |
