| Fist let me say that this was the best tour I have ever been on! I just wish it was longer. Secondly, my family is from the North End and i learned more from the tour than I have learned from my family and they date back to the '30s. Our guide was just the best! |

| I learned more from this 3 hour walking tour of the North End than I ever have during my many visits to the area in my 34 years of living an hour away! I actually felt as though I had JUST discovered a jewel that has been in plain sight all the time. Jim, our tour guide, couldn't have been more informative, knowledgeable and fun. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, but especially to those who "think" they know all there is to know about the North End. You'll be pleasantly surprised! |

| My friend and I really enjoyed the North End Tour. We learned lots of fascinating and informative "Italian" information. The food sampling at some of the various places we visited whet our appetite for more after the tour. We revisited several of the shops and thought of ourselves as experts in our purchase decisions. Jim, our guide, presented his wealth of Italian knowledge in to us with lots of humor. On my next trip to Boston, I would consider taking this tour again along with the Chinatown tour which I definitely look forward to in the future. |

| Our North End Market Tour was very enjoyable. All our group are serious foodies(We have traveled to Italy and spent time with family in Italy, which allowed us to experience authentic food and food products). That said, we all came away with new facts about the food and this wonderful Boston location.
Our guide was very, very informed on the history of the North End, the products and services available, and on Italian culture, mores, and food. She provided so many interesting facts that made the experience so much more enjoyable.
Most of all, we were in a torrential rainstorm, and our wonderful guide provided for our comfort by rearranging stops and staying in one of the shops to tell us about what would have been discussed outside. So, although the weather was less than ideal, I felt that we were provided all of the information that was scheduled for that day.
I would definitely recommend this tour, especially to anyone who loves Italian food!
Such good information for buying, storing and enjoying Italian food. |

| We were a group of 7 women celebrating a very special birthday for a very special friend. We literally planned months ahead of time, only to have a rainy day for the tour. But our spirits were not dampened one bit!
Our guide, Dick, was absolutely fabulous: very knowledgeable, engaging, passionate, and gracious. He explained the history of the North End - its peoples, cultures and foods - so well, and encouraged and answered all questions very enthusiastically. Nearly all of our group members are Italian American, so the tour was a blast from our pasts. All the shop owners/employees genuinely seemed pleased that we were among the crowd in their establishments...Saturdays are very busy in the North End - even on a rainy day! All along the way, we sampled the delights of the Italian cuisine.
The tour lasted a full three hours...the last stop was Maria's Pastry Shop where we tasted some divine Italian treats. The tour ended on such a high note because Michele Topor had arranged that Maria would provide a birthday cake for our friend...it was absolutely delicious and shared with all the members of our tour, the 7 of us and 6 other folks.
The day was memorable not only for the Birthday Babe but for ALL of us!
"Mille Grazie" to Michele, Dick, and all the shopkeepers.... |

| We loved this tour, we had such a great time. Our tour guide Beth was so well informed and seemed to really enjoy her job! We learned so much and the food samples were wonderful. I really can't say one negative comment about this tour. This was for me the most fun thing we did on our New England vacation. We would love to come back and visit the North End!
Thanks

| Michele did a wonderful job. She is a wealth of information both entertaining and informative on Italian food, culture and the country itself. My husband and I look forward to food tours whenever we can find them and this one did not fail to impress us. We really had a good time and thought the group size (14) was perfect. I know a lot about food but really learned a lot from Michele about the reason Italians eat in the order they do and all to achieve proper digestion. Very Interesting and I plan to bring some of these practices into my own home. |
