Thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour!
Fri, Oct 16  3:00 PM jsalioto Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
My wife and I purchased this tour and took the tour with my sister and all three of us had the same level of enjoyment after completing the tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the subject, and was friendly, approachable and attentive to the entire group. He also took great pains to ensure that everyone on the tour had any questions answered and in addition, offered up reccomendations for restraurants based on the specific requirements of each person on the tour. We will definitely take this tour again when we are in Boston again and would absolutely reccomend the tour to anyone! Thank you Michele Topor!

A delightful and theoretical culinary experience

Our tour guide, Jimmy, was very energetic and well vesed on the the 'inside' information and culture of the north end. His pesonal relationship with shop owners was evident as we entered the shops and markets and encouraged input and dialogue. He made the tour most interesting as he included a history perspective of the Italian heritage and influence on Boston. We enjoyed the afternoon immensly and returned the remaining 3 nights for dinner in area restaurants and tasted bakery delicasies. We would not hesitate to highly recommend this tour.

Loved the tour

My Mom and I went on the tour, although it was cold, we were in and out of buildings a lot so it didn't seem that bad. Jim has a TON of very interesting data to share. My Mom is 75 but did just fine with the amount of walking, but she also walked a 5K the next morning! I had been to the North End several times before, but the info I learned from the tour was excellent.

Fantastic experience!

My brother and I did this tour on a blustery, misty afternoon, but the information and wisdom imparted by our tour guide was not dampened in the least. Jim (our tour guide) was friendly, knowledgeable, and impressive as he guided us through Boston's North End. I came home with a wealth of information about cooking authentic Italian food, and also about the North End's colored history. We tasted our way through the neighborhood, and it ended way too soon. I would enthusiastically recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in history, cooking, and/or eating delicious food.

This tour started on time, and the tour guide actively engaged participants for the full three hours. I learned so much, enjoyed the historical discussions and very much enjoyed the visited merchants. I returned to the bakery for another treat. My husband and I ate in a suggested restaurant afterward and really enjoyed the meal. I would eagerly take this tour again if we return to visit Boston.

Learn everything there is to Italian cuisine

It was one of the best tours I've ever done. Even if you don't live in Boston, we got great tips as to what to look out for when buying various products and most of the stores we went to will actually send you the stuff by ordering it online or over the phone. Absolutely perfect!!!!

Michele gives a light and lively look at area history and weaves it into her very enjoyable tour. You don't have to be a great cook or connoisseur to enjoy this close up look at all the great Italian food and beverages in the North End.

2nd time on tour, brought more friends, thrilled!

I found Michele's tour a couple of years ago while travelling with my husband on a business trip. I loved it and on this trip to Boston, we extended our stay and brought more friends from NH on the trip. My husband already wants to take it again. Michele provides, both history of the North end and Italy as well as extended culinary knowledge. We were still talking about it days later and returned to some of the establishments visited during the tour to purchase food items for our trip home and even took her suggestions on dining. Fabulous! Becky Ostendorp Miami Shores, FL

Low-key afternoon with tons of information

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the tour very much. The North End is just beautiful and being there in the afternoon, before it gets really busy, is nice. Our tour guide, Beth, did a great job, was very knowledgeable and told us some great stories about the year she spent living in Italy.
