We are a group of parents of teens who were visiting Boston from Toronto, Vancouver and Texas. A local friend had raved about the tour so we signed up and weren't disappointed. We learned about the history of the area and visited lots of local shops. We tried some interesting foods and learned about vegetables, olive oils, balsamic vinegars, parmesan cheese, pastries, and the people who prepare/sell them. It was very interesting, educational and fun. I would recommend this tour to any foodie or history buff. Our guide was obviously passionate about the area and the food. Please go (even the husbands enjoyed it) ! You won't be disappointed !

A lot of fun. Our tour guide was very informative. We really enjoyed learning about the history of the North End and visiting small merchants. No restroom break is a bit of a problem for a 3 hour tour, especially when it is hot and you are drinking a lot of water, but did find a restroom in the local library right after the tour.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide was a good communicator, knowledgeable, and had a pleasant sense of humor. Unlike another food tour I took in a different city, this one was 90% about food, not history or architecture. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to cook and loves to eat.

I enjoyed the introduction lecture. If you had to improve one item, it would be to conclude the tour in a better manner. Instead of leaving after the liquor store, a short capstone could be offered in the gym area or where we began. Much enjoyed!

The tour was extremely informative and we loved our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, personable and friendly. He was also easy to get along with and went out of his way to meet the needs of everyone on the tour while keeping pace.

WONDERFUL & accomodating to a wheelchair

My husband and I enjoyed the tour very much. The guide, Dick, was very informative with an interesting and engaging delivery style on the history of the North End, the stores and owners we visited, other sites and sounds (and smells) in the North End -- oh, just EVERYTHING. Most importantly, we let Michele know ahead of time that my husband uses a wheelchair. Dick prepared for us ahead of time to make as many locations in this very old-world neighborhood as accessible as possible. We felt fully integrated and part of the tour in every way. Thank you Michele and Dick!

FAVORITE ACTIVITY IN BOSTON

Of all the activities I did while vacationing in Boston, this was my favorite (MFA was a close second). I love finding out about different foods. I wish there had been more about the wines of the region. Another suggestion would be another tour going more in depth. The tour guide we had gave just enough information in the time alloted.
