FAVORITE ACTIVITY IN BOSTON

Of all the activities I did while vacationing in Boston, this was my favorite (MFA was a close second). I love finding out about different foods. I wish there had been more about the wines of the region. Another suggestion would be another tour going more in depth. The tour guide we had gave just enough information in the time alloted.

Jim Beckman, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. Our entire group had a lovely time and felt it was worth our time and money. We have been recommending the tour to others every since.

This tour presented so much information it was overwhelming...in a good way! I learned so much about history, Italian-American vs. Italian cuisine, cooking, purchasing ingredients, storing ingredients, and dining out. It's changed so much about how I view Italian food and how I shop. I live here so I can realy take advantage of the local shops. Anybody would benefit though because you can transport the knowledge and many of the stores ship if you can't find things in your own city. I could go on and on. This is well worth the money and time. So fascinating and delightful. I had been in 60% of the places we visited and I still was amazed at how much I was missing! Beth, our tour guide, was amazing. I took an out-of-town friend for her birthday. Plan on taking other guests too. HIghly recommend this tour.

My husband and 2 friends, took your tour about 10 years ago and have always wanted to do it again. Was motivated when my cousin came to MA from CA ... we had a super time. I will definitely go again and it will sooner than 10 years this time!

Great time

A group of friends got together and did the tour as a going away party for me. I am moving out of state. We all had a great time and even though we live in the area we learned so much about the North End we didn't know. The tour was informative, entertaining and best of all delicious. The samplings were terrific and if I wasn't moving I would have certainly stocked up on many of the items. Our tour guide gave us a suggestion for dinner (there were 7 of us). It was a perfect place and we even got a complimentary dessert when we said we had been on the tour. I would go again in a heart beat.

North End Tour more than lived up to expectations!

This tour more than lived up to my expectations. Our tour guide Jim was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and courteous. The tour was perfectly paced and took into account the extreme heat! We were given informative hand outs. At the end of the tour, Jim recommeded a great restaurant for lunch. I am looking forward to attending the Asian markets tour that Jim leads in the fall. I would also take this tour again. Thank you!

It was extremely hot that Sat. Our guide, Beth, was very accomomdating to the heat factor. We were fascinated by all that we learned. Beth was very comfortable with her knowledge and shared it with ease. The 4 of us tried all kinds of things of new things. The shops were tiny and authentic, each with their own specialty. It was a great new adventure. We'll try the China Town Tour next year. Big thanks to Beth- she was terrific!

The variety of shops visited was great. The shop owners as well as the guide were friendly and informative. We went back the next day to several of the shops and got all the delicious ingredients required for a delightful picnic in the Boston Commons.

Interesting part of Boston, small focus on food

After thoroughly enjoying a food tour of Greenwich Village in New York, we were enthusiastic about a Boston food tour. While this focused on Italian settlement, food preferences and cooking techniques, we enjoyed very little tasting. I would not recommend this for the money it costs.
