This tour was a highlight of our 10 days in New England. A knowledgeable tour guide, a manageable sized group. We enjoyed the tour so much we went back and visited several of the stops along the way.

We have enjoyed dining in the North End for many years and thought we knew the ins and outs very well. We were wrong. This tour was full of new learning and lots of fun. Our guide was fantastic! He introduced us to the best little markets and bakeries tucked down quiet streets. He taught us all about the olive oil, the produce, the cheese and the wine. We sampled a variety of the finest foods the North End has to offer. We look forward to spending a lot more time exploring the North End! Thanks!

Hidden Treasures!

We loved the North End Market tour. Our guide was fabulous -- entertaining and knowledgeable. We are all avid Italian cooks and learned so much more than we thought we would! All the hidden gems and true treasures of the North End were revealed, making tiny markets and obscure ingredients totally accessible. And we tasted so much deliciousness, we circled back and picked up goodies at several of the shops we'd toured!!

I have lived in Boston all my life and we like to visit the North End frequently. By the end of the tour, I can honestly say my husband and i felt like we had never really been there before and by time we left the North End after the afternoon tour and dinner, we felt like we had been on a small trip. It was FABULOUS! it was interesting, fun, informative, unique and yummy, all at the same time. we think the price is very reasonable. our guide Beth was an amazing font of knowlege and clearly passionate about the subject. i have already recommended this to everyone we know, and we cant wait to go back with our " new eyes" for the North End! great gift idea, too. thanks !

My husband and I did the North End Market tour with our friends and we loved it. We found the information valueable and it will defintely take the intimadation factor out of shopping in the area for future visits. Beth our tour guide was well informed and she was easy to approach. Thanks. Kathy

the tourguide was very friendly and informative. enjoyed sampling the various foods(e.g. cheeses, proscuitto, lemon slushes, limoncello, pastries, etc.) . very impressed by a local chef who had just finished making gnocci, and offerred them to the group to sample; very nice of him- they were delicious. our tourguide knew many of the locals which made the neighborhoood and the tour very authentic. my husband and i have visited boston several times before, however this tour allowed us to experience it in a new way. we now know of some little markets with some great italian specialties and plan to visit them again on our next trip. this is a great way to spend a few hours in boston and would highly recommend.

I have taken many high school student groups on this tour. They love it! Each time I go, I learn something new. The tour guides are very knowledgeable about the history of North End. They know the shop keepers and the best part is they take us to authentic Italian businesses only! We are off the beaten path for good reasons, and I appreciate that. I highly recommend this to history buffs as well as Italian foodies! The guide provides some great handouts for future reference. Put on a good pair of walking shoes, you're in for a real treat.
