North End Market Tour

The company was accommodating (we booked too late, so they arranged a new tour group!), Michele was an amazingly funny and knowledgeable tour guide, the food was delicious, and the takeaways of where to shop and eat in the North End were awesome for us local Bostonians. Overall, I would recommend to any group of friends, couples, or visiting families. 5 stars!

The tour guide, Michelle Topor, was so fantastic! She was beyond out expectations. There were 3 of us in my group, (8 total on the tour), 2 out of towners, (CT), and 1 who lives in Boston. I would highly recommend this tour even for people who live in Boston, because Michelle took us to the places that were off the beaten path and tucked away. She took us to the authentic Italian places where you would go to buy the good stuff. Michelle was so incredibly knowledgeable, I wish I had taken notes. But the great thing about that is, Michelle gave us her card and said to email with any questions, and even for recipes! I would even do this tour again because it was so much fun. I really can't say enough about Michelle, she certainly lives up to her amazing reputation! This tour is a must for anyone in Boston who loves Italian food and culture.

The forecast for the day was driving rain all day long, so needless to say I was not looking forward to taking the tour. I have to say that I was so happy that we didn't stay home because of the rain. It was one of the best tours I have ever taken. Our tour guide, Jim, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the North End. He taught us so much, not only about the history of the North End, but all about true Italian cooking. I learned so much about how to shop for produce, spices etc., and where to go for the best pastries! The shop owners were accomodating and very friendly. I would recommend this tour to everyone! I have told all my friends and family that they MUST take this tour next time they are in Boston. Jane

This was a very enjoyable and informative tour with a ton of good information. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Italian food or in learning more about the North End.

My family used to visit relatives in the North end when I was a little girl. This brought back some great memories! And some of the cooking info is still being discussed today! I can't wait to make eggplant parmagian (with a boy eggplant) and serve a fennel salad! Thanks for a great time!

Jim or James, our tour guide was incredibily knowledgeable and made the morning fly by. He was receptive to questions, took his time to explain things and made everyone enjoy themselves.Looking forward to the Chinatown tour.

Beth gave an awesome tour. We especially appreciated her responses to specific food preparation and cooking questions. The mix of shops we visited and the list of 'authentic' Italian restaurants were very useful to our expanded appreciation of what the North End has to offer.

We were in for business in beginning of December and I had purchased these for a group of us. The tour was excellent. They covered the rich history of the north end, and talked in depth about their diet. Each market and stop was wonderful and informative. We would highly recommend taking this tour. The samples were yummy too!
