this was a great tour of Boston's North End district with lots of history and information about where to buy, and eat authentic, homemade goods. My daughter lives in the North End and we now know where all the good stuff is located. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

My three daughters and I gave this to their grandmother as a Christmas gift. It was the best idea we have had. We all had a great time. Our guide was very knowledgable. The tour was relaxed and informative, and I have already recommended the experience to many of my friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and our guide was fantastic. We learned so much, even my husband who grew up in an Italian neighborhood in the Chicago area. We went to the North End the next day to shop in the stores we toured. I cannot wait to go back to Boston and sign up for the China Town tour.

My wife and I took this tour and it exceeded our expectations. We saw parts of the North End of Boston that we otherwise would not have seen and learned about different ingredients use in traditional Italian cooking. Just do it!

I can't say enough good things about the tour. Jim was THE BEST. He was very unselfish as he not only set a standard and kept to his purpose - but gave us the respect of his time with questions and other interest stories. He was most helpful. I would do it again in a heartbeat. He got us all enthused about all things Italian. And we are going to Italy this summer - so, you can imagine my interest and curiosity. (Can he come with us??)

We used to live in Boston area and moved away to another NE state. Have always loved the North End and thought a market tour would be fun. You surpassed our expectations. We not only learned history we did not know but now see so much more in the markets on the tour. Thank you!

The North End Food Tour was the highlight of our vacation to Boston. Our tour guide, Jim Becker, gave us an excellent historical and culinary perspective of the North End as well as Boston. The highlight of the tour was a meat market.

We really enjoyed our tour. Jim provided a fantastic tour of the local area, providing a good balance between local history and the food and wine. We can't wait to come back to Boston to do the Chinatown tour and would definitely do the North End tour again. A&A, The UK

Mangia, Mangia!

Despite unseasonable weather (near-freezing with drizzle), this tour has been the standout of my time in Boston. The guide, Jim, was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and enjoyable to be around. I'm not sure how to respond to others' reviews that were unfavorable, but there is nothing negative to be said about this tour. We received ample samplings of a variety of meats, pastry, cheeses, produce, and snacks. And as others have noted, it won't replace a meal. Prior to the tour I imagined our stop at Maria's Pastry would be my favorite. Surprisingly, even though Maria's was delicious, my favorite stop was actually at the Salumeria Italiana (deli/butcher). I have never tasted such wonderful meat flavors and cheeses before. The prosciutto melted in your mouth like buttah. ;) Do yourself a flavor and sign up for this tour.

Not as colorful, interesting or exciting as the food tours we have taken in Seattle, New York or Hawaii. The guide was knowledgeable about his cooking and talked alot about himself. We like to take the tours for local flare and information.
