Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Discovered wonderful gourmet food shops, good restaurant tips, history, culinary pointers, and overview of Boston's North End. Eager to try other tours with this group.

Rajeev and I did not know what to expect but he is a "foodie" so I knew he would enjoy a tour about food. From the first second our tour guide began to speak we instantly got excited about what we were about to explore. We loved the behind the scenes mom and pop shops and we learned so much about food and how we are going to buy now. There was a lot I could relate to being a bit Italian myself and a ton a did not know. Rajeev even got a homemade cake and candle from Maria's Bakery to our surprise! He said to me afterwards that it was the best birthday gift he has ever had....I agreed. I have told many of my friends already about this tour. Definitely worth doing.

Jim Becker was and is an outstanding guide. We were lucky enough to have a very small group (4 in total) on our tour which I felt made our tour even more personal. Jim is extremely engaging and very likable. Jim's stories along the tour about the history of the North End were very enlightening and entertaining. As a person who loves to cook but is not Italian, I found Jim's knowledge of the local ingredients from all the shops/vendors came in very handy the next day when we back to the North End to shop for specialty items! I am a Travel Consultant by profession and would enthusiastically recommend this tour to my clients and any who are interested in obtaining a greater appreciation for such a special area of Boston.

Our tour consisted of my husband, adult daughter and myself. The tour was beyond my expectations. Our tour guide (sorry, I've forgotten her name) was fantastic. She was knowledgable, definitely familiar with the community and a pleasure to listen to. I also appreciated the fact that she had lived in Italy and gave us further insight on some traditions. All the markets we entered were facinating and the proprietors very accomodating. Of course the food samples were great. We went home with all the makings of a wonderful dinner and enjoyed not only the flavors of the day but knowing where, when and how it all came about. The most delicious and informative afternoon I've spent in a long time. I highly recommend it!

This tour is well worth the time and money. Jim our guide was so nice. Jim is not just a guide but also has a foodservice backround. We not only learned about the history of the North End but what food was avaiable and how both the people of the north end and the food has progressed through time. We went on the day before valentines day....(a busy resturant day) and Jim helped us get a table at a newly opened Italian eatery that was fantastic! Do yourself a favor and go on this tour. You will not be disapointed.

Our guide, Jim, led us through the most interesting tour of the North End. I learned so much about food and about the history of this fascinating neighborhood. After we finished the tour, my husband and I walked away giddy with the new information we had just received. Thanks to our North End tour, we have new knowledge and new ingredients to enjoy and share with friends. We enthusiastically recommend this tour to everyone we know.

My wife and I had a great tour of the North End on Valentine's Day weekend. Our tour guide, Jim, did a marvelous job! We even went to Maria's Pastry Shop the next day for a fresh sfogliatelle for breakfast.
