Ms. Topor is an excellent articulate tour leader, and a lot of fun. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of her material and about local food sources in Boston's North End. We both (59 year old mom, 23 three year old son) enjoyed the tour very much. |

This is the second time I have been on this tour and I have to say it was as amazing the first time as it was the 2nd time. Getting into Boston and finding parking was helpful due to the instructions provided by Michelle Topor. The tour started on time and we were with a good bunch of people. The guide was very nice and provided us with lots of history information and a ton of foodie information on what, where and how to eat. Visited a chinese market, Chinese pharmacy, and ended the tour with a delicious dim sum feast. I am usually not a tour person but I have taken this twice and it really was great! |

Have done Michele Topor's North End Tour twice and this one was just as terrific. Our guide Jackie did a wonderful job describing the history of Chinatown and more. Our tour was fun going in and out of shops getting tastings and leaning about foods and spices as well as some of her personal tidbits of info. Our last stop for a Dim Sum lunch was a highlight with yummy foods to try and special service to boot. |

My husband & I totally enjoyed our tour . Our guide Al was very knowledgeable with a great since of humor. Each shop is unique and samples are wonderful. The atmosphere and history of the North End is great. We were so pleased we purchased 4 tickets for our 2 sons B-day's. I would suggest you bring a cloth shopping bag or backpack to purchase food & wine items that are delicious. |

Really great tour! It was absolutely beautiful outside too, which helped a lot. Our group was only 10 people, the perfect size in my opinion. Our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. I have lived in Boston for 3 years now but learned a lot that I did not know about the North End. I now know where to shop if I want to get all the ingredients for an Italian feast! Though I didn't do this right after the tour; instead, we went to a restaurant that was recommended and it was fantastic! |

Our leader Jim was great. He was very knowledgeable about foods, history and local trivia. The size of our group was just right - 8 people. We were able to navigate the streets and shops without causing much disruption .
we were able to hear Jim's talk as we were able to stay close. The people at the stops along the way were friendly. The dim sum restaurant was an experience I will try again soon. I have never been to one. Well worth the $. |

I loved every minute of this tour! The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the North End, Italy, and Italian cuisine. I truly felt like I was back in Italy and loved discovering these amazing markets that are in my own backyard. After the tour my friend and I went back to a couple of the shops to buy some items and then went out to dinner and dessert at restaurants recommended in the handouts provided before the tour. I will absolutely recommend this to local friends and out of town guests! |

Beth was so knowledgeable and pleasant! She led the tour with such enthusiasm, providing wonderful detail and information, as well as sharing her personal preferences and experiences, making the experience so alive and fresh! Lastly, without being asked, she went out her way to help me complete the tour on an extremely hot day. I walk with bilateral crutches secondary to Multiple Sclerosis. I never informed her of my condition... all she saw was the crutches and some struggle on my part and she took it upon herself to obtain seating for me whenever she could, clear access for me, keep the group in the shaded part of the street, etc. She was so unconditionally accommodating without ever being asked. Her quiet compassion combined with an extremely wonderful tour, allowed me and my friend to experience a perfect day! I have already and will continue to highly recommend this tour!
Thank you to Beth and Michele. |

I've taken a food tour of Seattle's Pike Street Market, and this tour rates slightly above that one. Chef Jim, our host, filled our heads with so much info that my mind is still swimming in Chinese knowledge five days later. You learn the history of the Chinese people not only in Boston, but also in the United States. The shops we visited were amazing, the people we encountered were extremely gracious, and the food we sampled were delicious. If you love Chinese food, or any food for that matter, you need to take this tour! |
