I highly recommend the North End tour.

My husband and I (empty-nesters) have been to Boston many times and have eaten in the North End on several occasions. We usually end up at the same tried-and-true places, but heard that the tour would introduce to more places to shop and eat. The tour was excellent. We enjoyed hearing the history of the North End, finding new restaurants, butcher shops, delis, bakeries and liquor stores. Learning what to look for on labels and the variations in the foods was very informative. The tastings were great. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable.

North End Coming Back
Sat, Sep 27  2:00 PM rcalter Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
I lived in Boston in the mid-70's and worked near Quincy Market. Being of Italian heritage and loving food, I spent a lot of time in the North End. Since then I gradually became disappointed when I would visit. The area seemed a bit tired, and I had lost any local connection. It is nice to know that the younger Italian generation is revitalizing the North End. Our group greatly enjoyed the history, shopper's and eater's inside tips and of course the tasting samples. We cannot wait to return to relax, eat and explore. We were thrilled to find out about Bricco Suites, as well.

Jackie was superb. She taught us some history of the area to begin with, which was fascinating. She enthusiastically introduced us to food and culture in a way that we would never have been able to do on our own. The places we went to were all places we could not have found, and now look forward to returning to on our own. We have been to a number of food tours and this was the best, in great part due to Jackie, the best tour guide ever.

This was a wonderful, fun, and different way to experience a slice of Boston! It was more than I could have hoped for and we had a great time. I will definitely be recommending this to anyone I know who will be visiting. Thanks for making such a great experience and for all the recommendations! We found a great place for dinner, thanks to you!

Excellent way to get to know Chinatown

This is a great tour. You learn so much about the culture, the food, the history. You get to try foods in various places, have a detailed tour of a grocery store, and best of all, have dim sum with someone who knows how to order and how to eat it! Jackie the tour guide was terrific.

Theresa was our tour guide and she was wonderful. She had a great rapport with all the shop owners and she was extremely informative. The samples were delicious! There were only 6 people on our tour so it made for a very intimate group with lots of time for questions.

very enjoyable tour. Tried many samples of foods that I had not tried and learned about the differences between Italian and Italian-American foods, olive oils, vinegars, etc. Enjoyed visiting bakeries, sampling yummy desserts, breads, etc. Great tour. Would do it again in a couple of years. Also did the Chinatown tour a couple of months ago. Excellent tours. Well worth the money.

Jackie was very knowledgeable and fun to be with; my group of six ranged in age from 24 y o to 64 y o. Each one of us enjoyed the tour and its' many different aspects. The shop owners were very busy but, made time for us & delighted us with lovely "tidbits" which whetted our appetites. Concensus is we would do it again & probably try a different one as well!

Our group enjoyed our tour immensely. Even went back to a few of the places we went to purchase some of things we sampled. Our guide Jackie was extremely informative of foods, spices and the history of the North End. Would recommend the tour to everyone.

Michele was terrific, she clearly is from "the hood" and knows her way around the best of the North End. We plan I taking her other tours.

Wonderful North End Walking Tour
Wed, Sep 10  2:00 PM DaveSutter Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Being of Italian heritage ourselves, my husband & I wanted to experience Boston's North End neighborhood and all it has to offer. Walking through the narrow streets is the only way to experience the ambience of the neighborhood. Our tour director was knowledgable, bringing us to some of the authentic salumeria's (deli's), bakeries and misc. shops in the neighborhood. The tour is 3 hours which I thought would be a bit long but was just the right amount of time. I would recommend this tour to all who love Italian food, culture & all who would love to experience this neighborhood.

My sister was visiting from WA state and I thought this tour sounded like a fun day. We both loved all the information our guide Susie provided. The shops we visited were fun and we felt like we know the North End so much better now! Great day!
