| All the women in this group loved the tour. One of the four men also loved it. Leader was informative and handled the group effectively. The three hours flew and it was a good variety of shops. | ||||||

| the tour was very well organized and the guide was very knowledgeable about the area and it's history. The only thing that detracted abit was that ,because he was not Italian, he didn't have any of the anecdotes that an Italian American can share with others about the culture and why the food is so important and why for instance Italians eat certain pastas with certain sauces etc. It would also have been nice to sample say a domestic cheese vs. the same cheese that was imported; the same with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pasta and prosciutto. This would be a good way to teach people about quality of ingredients. | ||||||

| Beth, our tour guide was personable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She obviously knows her subject and gave us a lot of good information. The tour was fun and served as a good introduction to sources of Italian food and ingredients that we would not necessarily have found on our own. | ||||||

| Found the tour to be a good introduction to the North End of Boston - good mix of history and current knowledge - several tasting stops - and the tour was a good size for the surroundings. Pace was good for walking, sufficient stops for slower walkers to catch up. Only lacks were (to me) more of the wholesale side of the North End - I would have liked to see a fish, meat or cheese wholesale venue included. Also, a lot of people look to the North End for restaurants - as well walked, a commentary on local restaurants would have been nice. | ||||||

| We loved the tour and truly appreciated all the recommendations of our guide. He made our experience memorable. The air was filled with "scent"sational aromas. We returned the next day and could navigate the streets with ease. | ||||||

| My husband and I enjoyed the N.E. Tour of Boston. We both have been to Boston many times and this was the first "tour" we have taken. We would definitely recommend it to our "foodie" friends and family. I would have enjoyed a few more "samples" of food. I know it wasn't a "food tasting" tour but it's nice to sample foods of "other" places. I ended up purchasing some of the items that I did sample and bought home to CT. It was a perfect day as well and we enjoyed the history of the North End as well as the history of Italian food/cooking etc! | ||||||

| My husband and I had a very enjoyable and informative time during our Cooking Tour to the North End. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging. We returned to several shops following the tour to purchase items that had been highlighted. We live locally so intend to also make use of the restaurant guide that was given along with other information at the beginning of the tour. I feel like we know our way around the North End much better than we did before. We would recommend this tour to others. | ||||||

| We enjoyed a wonderful tour of Boston's North End. The tour guide's information on the history of this small neighbohood was informative and the gastronomic information was new to many of us. To have these shops in our own area is excellent. Many of the women in the group plan a shopping spree in the area at a later date. | ||||||

| Michele Topor was delightful in her enthusiasm of her neighborhood, its history and its cuisine. She was constantly providing us tips and suggetions with advise on cooking and purchasing essentials for the kitchen. When we bumped into Mayor Mennino at Maria's bakery, that was an unexpected surprise. Our group was composed of friends and relatives and we had a ball! Tasting everything and anything, we left with a feeling of excitement in coming back to visit the shops and restaurants we've yet to try. Paula Mollov | ||||||

| We were delighted with our tour! Our tour guide, Beth, was exceptionally experienced in the Italian culture along with culinary insight. The markets we visited provided a real world authentic view of life in Italy. | My husband and I took this same tour approximately 6-8 years ago and enjoyed it much more at that time. On the last tour the leader was much more informative about the north end and the people who live there and how they shop. She discussed things like how to cook pasta, suggestions for cooking other italian dishes, etc. and gave us a lot of information that we could take home and apply to everyday life and shopping. That is why we were so anxious to return some day. On the tour last week the leader spent at least 30 minutes telling us about the regions in Italy while we stood at the liquor store. Due to the extended time standing in one spot and the heat, she seemed to lose the interest of the group after the first few minutes. It was just OK this time and would not make me want to come back. The area is fantastic and the markets very interesting. Based on this visit, we would have enjoyed it more going on our own. | ||||||

| This tour is worth every penny. It is very informative and you learn a lot about the Mediterranean cuisine as well as being able to taste as you go along. After the tour go back to one of the recommended lunch spots and have pasta. Stroll up and down the streets and end up on a park bench down by the water. You can spend a whole day in the North End! | ||||||
