The only reason I did not give this the top score is because I wanted more! Each stop was wonderful but it would have been great to be able to buy things at each stop. I understand why you can't due to time and space constraints. I'm tempted to come back in the cold winter and hope the group is smaller so we could shop. I'd even pay more for a smaller group where that might be possible.
I went on 3/14 and we absolutely loved our guide, cudos to her!
Thanks for a great time. |

It was a delightful three hours! Our guide, Beth, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We learned so much about authentic Italian food and culture. Each purveyor had their own specialties and we were able to sample many delicious foods.
I would certainly recommend this tour.

This tour is great for the person really wanting to learn about true Italian cuisine. Our tour guide was a retired chef who truly knew his stuff! We learned all about different types of Italian pastries, meats, cheeses, produce, good olive oil and balsamic vinegar and lastly, liquors and wine.
Came away knowing what to buy if wanting true Italian ingredients but not where to eat good Italian food in the North End of Boston. Kinda disappointed in that one! |

Our guide was enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable and incredibly personable!! She knew her stuff & made it fun and educational. The food tastings were fabulous and we now know many shopping and eating destinations that make the North End so special. We have already referred several people to the website so they can take part in the great fun we enjoyed last weekend! |

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. One of our group is a local but still learned a lot about the North End that she didn't know. Jim Becker is a great guide. Very knowledgeable and keeps things fun. Having said that, however, even though we had a relatively mild day for March, the initial introduction and chat, done on the Greenway, was way too long for standing outside in the cold. We were numb by the time we got into Marie's Bakery (the first stop). An alternate indoor place should be used. |

This is a wonderful way to see a part of Boston you might not get to know without the "inside scoop"! The stores were great and the tour guide was very informative! The only thing that might add to it is a bit more food and a coffee tasting! Otherwise it was great! |

Quick and fun introduction to the traditions of the Italian North End of Boston. We visited authentic markets that would have gone unnoticed without this tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the establishments we visited, the food and the history of the area. The food samples were delicious and enticed you to return after the tour to make purchases. Our tour guide was a former chef, and he provided great recommendations for restaurants for lunch or dinner. All in all, an enjoyable experience. We are looking forward to trying their Chinatown tour next time we are in Boston. |

Learned a lot about the culture and people of the North End and about the best local ingredients and restaurants the North End has to offer. The guide was great and so were the tastings. I'd recommend it to anybody. |

Went in the winter. I would like to do it again when it's warmer. I enjoyed the history of the area as well as the culture of Italy. The information I got helped me to make better purchases while in the north end and at home. It also gave me less touristy places to try. This allowed me to enjoy the meals I had on my short vacation in the area. |

If you have an appreciation for anything Italian then this activity is for you. My Husband, Mother-in-law and myself totally enjoyed an early afternoon touring the North End. It started with our tour guide JIm who was the perfect host. He is extremely knowledgeable in Italian culture as well as all of the places we toured. His personality made for a great time. We sampled many delicious tidbits and learned some interesting facts. The tour lasted 3 hours and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Afterward Jim recommended a few places for us to go to lunch. Once again he was right on the mark. We had a great lunch which was the perfect end to a really fun day. |

This Italian tour of the North End in Boston was excellent. Jim, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as Italian cuisine and culture. He also gave excellent cooking tips and information on what to look for when you are at home doing your shopping. It was very cold outside the morning of our tour but well worth the money. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys food. |
